New video and photographic evidence that puts three senior CIA operatives at the scene of Robert Kennedy's assassination has been brought to light.

O'Sullivan's report

The evidence was shown in a report by Shane O'Sullivan, broadcast on BBC Newsnight.

It reveals that the operatives and four unidentified associates were at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles in the moments before and after the shooting on 5 June, 1968....

CIA role claim in Kennedy killing

It wouldn't surprise me at all to discover CIA operatives were in the vicinity of any high profile US political figure at any given moment.

SHOCK HORROR!!!! US Secret Service Operatives in vicinity of JFK at the time of his Assassination!

Get the ◊◊◊◊ outa here! I would NOT have believed it that the CIA and Secret Service were anywhere near a high-profile government person and electoral candidate like Robert Kennedy.

Whooda thunk...

I'd have been more surprised to hear that there hadn't been any secret service or other intel personnel in the vicinity.

If there had been no Secret Service/CIA people around RFK, that would have been a conspiracy too. Why wasn't he protected? They let it happen.

to answer your question, CIA was not in charge of RFK's protection. It would only be a scandal if the Secret Service was not protecting him. RFK was running for office in an election. He was shaking people's hands. He was mobbed by supporters. No surprise Secret Service gave him some room.

So what if CIA people were there. CIA hires Americans don't they? Some of them may have been RFK supporters. Why wouldn't they be there?

Oh, boy...the scandal of the decade

CIA workers among those present at a major political/government function for the leading Democratic candidate for president and sitting U.S. Senator for New York in the then second-most populous state in the nation on the evening of its Democratic primary.

Wow. I'm shocked.

So if a couple of CIA agents gas up their car pool car at a Mobil Station, are they refeuling the car or are they passing secret documents from CIA to Mobil and the Trilateralist commission?

If five CIA agents attend a Yankees-Red Sox game at Yankee Stadium, does that mean the CIA is funding George Steinbrenner's AMShip Corporation's efforts to renovate the Hughes Glomar Explorer so that it can send divers to Atlantis to keep the space alien signal blinker concealed? Or is the CIA doing research on the impact of performance-enhancing steroids for use as an interrogation technique on Loose Changers?

Coincidence or conspiracy? You decide!

:D

My understanding (I think from the end-credits of the movie Bobby) is that this assassination was the impetus for providing Secret Service protection to major presidential candidates. Hence, there should have been no Secret Service protecting RFK that night.

There should have been no "CIA protection" either, as the CIA had no assigned domestic duties.

Frankly, I find this new evidence (if confirmed) to be very bizarre. I doubt three Cuban-exile-linked CIA agents (and their associates, also apparently viewed on the tape) would be likely supporters of RFK. I'm not saying it proves anything, but it should be investigated, yes.

Because the 9/11 CTs are a bunch of whoey, does that mean that the universe of all conspiracies should be similarly dismissed out of hand? A conspiracy to kill one man, in a crowded kitchen, is hardly of the same difficulty as 9/11, and really quite up the CIA's alley.

Let me re-affirm, I'm not saying I believe it, just that it merits further investigation.

It's another Loose Change! The guy says (about 3:10 into the clip) that he started out writing a screenplay about the RFK assassination and then "discovered" his new evidence.

Bradley Ayers, who identifies the men is something of a CT staple; he pops up in stories about the CIA drug-running back in the 1980s. He also pops up in 9-11 CTs as well:

Bradley Ayers, a veteran of the CIA's Cuba operations and later a contract agent for the DEA, who discovered CIA related drug smuggling and widespread cover-up of drug smuggling by groups working with U.S. government agents, and who suffered the usual retaliation through misuse of government power and government offices when he reported these matters. While working for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), his group prepared a report showing that terrorists would probably use hijacked U.S. airliners to ram into prominent buildings. The report was--as is normal in U.S. culture--ignored.

Yes, of course, FEMA figured this out beforehand.

I don't see why CIA agents wouldn't be around. No thye would not be there to protect Robert Kennedy. The Secret Service does that. They don't need to be doing counter intelligence since the FBI does that. But it is not unreasonable to believe a few would have just showed up, off duty to support Robert Kennedy for Pres. Why does being loosely affiliated with the CIA mean a conspiracy?

Although the CIA supposedly only do work OUTSIDE the US I am very skeptical that they actually DO limit themselves to that. I'm willing to bet the CIA were nefarious enough, especially in those days, to be keeping an eye on all sorts of political figures in the USA.

Doesn't mean they killed anyone though.
