Hey guys,

I am looking for a photo from 9/11 that was included in 9/11 Mysteries. I can't find the photo anywhere. Here is a frame from the movie with this photo in it.

Does anyone know where I can find this photo online? I have a sneaking suspicion that the photo has smoke photoshopped in. They did something similar with Scott Forbes accounts of dust in a later section of the film.

Knowing those CTs, it may well be photoshopped like the photographs of Beirut from last summer. On the other hand, all the debris and fuel that splashed out from the towers when the planes hit very likely ignited some fires on the ground too. At least I haven't heard any eye witness who would have thought there to be anything "unusual".

Anduril is correct about fires on the ground after the aircraft impacts. I see no reason to believe the photo isn't legit.
 
Yeah I was just re-watching the film and this one photo reminded me a lot of the way they portray dust in the building later in the film.

May very well be authentic but it just doesn't look right.

True. I have explained in my paper the reasons for the fires :)

Only reason I have to believe that this isn't legit is the other several examples of dodgy editing in the film. That and I haven't seen it elsewhere to verify it yet.

Just looks a bit weird I guess. But I won't be surprised if that is the original photo.
 
By the way, that view is looking north on Washington Street from around Rector St. The tall dark building at top right is the Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank building (130 Liberty). The south tower is directly ahead, with the north tower behind and to the left.

Just to clarify everyone, I am well aware that there is a rational explanation for smoke at the base of the towers. I agree it is possible for the smoke in the photo I have shown to have been real.

But there's just something about the photo that looks weird. I'm trying to figure it out. Just looks a bit odd.
