Religious figures reincarnated (Split from: Pope responds question from atheist)

Since the population of the World has been increasing for at least a couple of thousand years, where do the additional "souls" come from? Or is the turnover speeding up? According to my calculations wild ass guess, a soul has to be recirculated 20 years before you die. Does this explain dementia in the older living population?

"Math is hard." -- Barbie.

It is not unreasonable firstly because souls can migrate to animals, and secondly because they migrate to and from other realms, like Heaven or Hell.

Please explain how me (for instance) being reincarnated from a past life is different from just a different person dying and then me being born. And how me being reincarnated into a future life is different from just me dying and then someone else being born.

Either way, I have no memories (and therefore, no benefit of learning or experience) from any past life, no advance knowledge of any future one, and no reason to expect that my present life experiences and memories will be preserved except by what I write, make, or otherwise do in the material world to preserve them.

So, what's the difference? Even if reincarnation exists, what does it matter?

Respectfully,
Myriad

You have not read my book so how could you tell if my ideas are supported or not.
You haven't supported them here, you have just made a number of quite extraordinary assertions. As your book appears to be unpublished from what I can gather, we have no access to it. The mods have kindly created this thread for you in which to make your case, so please do so.

It matters because I was famous and powerful in a past life.

Thank you for correcting me on Francis' birth date. All the same, he was the reincarnation of Jesus.
I started reading psychology after a couple of unusual events I was unable to explain to myself. I soon saw the fallacy of Freud's method of dream interpretation, while thankful for his recognition that dreams do have meanings. So, what exactly are dreams?
In time I was able to show that dreams are telepathy in the sleeping state, that dreams always come through in the present tense, first person singular. Someone is telepathically communicating with me in real time. (being a working woman, although I was aware of some telepathic communications in my waking state, for accuracy I came to rely on dreams, even though dreams usually symbolize and need to be interpreted).
This is an account in a nutshell of my progress. Several of the early dreams involved historical persons. When interpreting these dreams I had to put them in a historical context. For a while I went with the Tibetans' belief that there are some personal "somewhere out there" of each of us they called the astral records. Eventually I realized that there are no such records but the communications were coming from the person him/herself in real time. So where is this person? Jesus is dead, yet he is talking. So, where is he?
More than 20 years passed since I first got on this strange but interesting bandwagon, and now I had to show that there must be a parallel world where people who are dead to us on earth, must live. This implies two bodies, one that may die and the other that moves on to "where?" Where, but to a parallel world, since I doubt there is really heaven and hell, but certainly there must be some other location we have yet to identify. We do come from somewhere at birth, life simply does not emerge from nothing.
My readings into physics eventually gave the answer. I have identified the Higgs particle in 2008, included my sketch of it in my book I obtained the copyright for in 2010, and bingo, experimental scientists in Geneva in 2013 identified it as the God particle.
In my book I am describing the Higgs as the "little Higgs that can", because this is the particle with the ability to move from one universe to the other. As the physical body disintegrates at death the bond breaks and the Higgs moves over. Obviously, it must carry memories with it because Jesus now over there is able to talk about his life on Earth 2000 years ago, or about his life as Francis or his most recent life as a sexually abused little boy trapped in a nasty place.

What utter ********.

What utter ********.

It does look a bit odd. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Which in this case I don't think we have enough of.

It sounds as if someone drank too much jenever (gin). ;)

Oh, and you can't "obtain" copyright for a book you wrote yourself. You automatically have copyright under the Berne Convention. From the Canadian Intellectual Property Office:
Copyright exists automatically when an original work or other subject-matter is created, provided the conditions set out in the Copyright Act have been met.

Here's a link to her book in the Kindle edition. It actually seems to be part one of a two-part book. I've read the forward and synopsis. It's well...about what you'd expect, I'm afraid. The story of Mary finding out what happened to Herod Antipas' younger siblings is a bit...yikes.

I don't think there are many forum members who are opposed to people having outlandish ideas. Some of us find them quite entertaining.

It is so easy to come up with tiny snappy answers, it saves one from having to think

Been there, done that, came to conclusions.

At age 15.

Conclusion:

Anyone trying to live on pie in the sky will starve to death.

I'm still laughing. Holly mackerel! You have an extended free version of the book in scribd. It's utmost funny because the author's amazing lack of sense of the ridiculous and ability to tell any cock-and-bull story with a straight face, it includes buckets of narcissistic domestic stories together with telepathic communication with UFOs, the man not landing in the moon and its enactment in a Canadian nickel mine, and lot's of Hollywood-like scripted history including Salome betraying virgin Mary. But don't believe me, read it by yourselves.

No, it can be worse. You can adapt the original stuff in such a way that it reeks like a bad cologne. :D
You can adapt it in all kinds of ways, including this cheap English version.
When William of Orange, ruler of the Dutch Republic, occupied the British throne with his wife Mary in what has become known as the Glorious Revolution, gin became vastly more popular, particularly in crude, inferior forms, where it was more likely to be flavoured with turpentine as an alternative to juniper.

You have not read my book so how could you tell if my ideas are supported or not.

I'm going out on a limb to say that since no one else has ever been able to support claims about reincarnation (or any other supernatural phenomena), then you haven't, either.

If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to apologize. Don't think I am, though.

Why , oh why, when i hear people saying they were reincarnated, it is almost always with one more more well known historical figure among them , or people in wealth ? Why not a full reincarnation line with only homeless folk, land worker, or slave ?

Frankly with all of you pretending to have reincarnated Jesus or another historical figure, I think the poor guy must have had 100 of souls in himself, schizophrenic like.

Everybody is subject to the rebirth cycles. In my study I have a chapter examining the past lives of a group of mentally handicapped children.

Other not historically famous people in my study are a surgical nurse during WWII, an immigrant from Thailand, Joseph and Mary's other five children, most of whom happen to be alive today, among many others.

Oh, and you can't "obtain" copyright for a book you wrote yourself. You automatically have copyright under the Berne Convention. From the Canadian Intellectual Property Office:

Since you are so knowledgeable about the copyright process, I wish you had gone to the trouble of explaining it fully, like submitting two copies of your work to the copyright office and receive your certificate. Yes, your work is automatically copyrighted, but ultimately you have to be able to prove it is your work.
Hopefully next time you look a little harder before you attack someone.

It is not unreasonable firstly because souls can migrate to animals, and secondly because they migrate to and from other realms, like Heaven or Hell.

That is your idea, not mine.
What I am describing in my work is a system and a process. Sorry to disappoint you.
