Rational thinking and twitter?

I only wanted to draw attention to this because 2 important leaders of the community have acted in a way which is totally against the principles they are supposed to embody. Principles which I have learned (on the most part...) from this forum.

Yes, twitter is not exactly the best medium for well constructed arguments, but that is still no excuse. We are all entitled to our own opinions and prejudices and can all expect to receive criticism. Having an alleged lie published about you is an entirely different matter. Ignoring and dismissing contrary evidence reeks of the tactics used by the practitioners of woo we supposedly hold in contempt. For reasons that will probably be obvious to anyone from the UK I am now being very careful in what I'm writing here, but tpr007 deserves, at the very least, a chance for everyone to see the evidence he presents.

Yup, seems like my blitz assessment cut to the core, even though I know next to nothing about any of the involved, including the "2 important leaders".

This is a messageboard thread about an argument on twitter concering what someone may or may not have said in a blog.

The phrase "sound and fury" is leaping to mind for some reason.
 
ANybody expecting Twitter to be good medium for rational discussion of ANYTHING is barking up the wrong tree.

Well, I'm late to the party, but "rational" and "twitter" are really mutually exclusive. I was assuming that the title meant "exclusive or".

As to the behavior of people who want to make it all about something it's not, well ...
