The paranormal books that I used to read were quite old so it seems the idea has died out since they were published.

It does turn up in Pyramids by Terry Pratchett though, as part of the central idea that pyramids are time-dams - i.e. they take the razor blade back in time to when it wasn't blunt.

But that was on the Discworld.

Actually, I was worried ants would show up and ruin the experiment, but they didn't.

So as a result of my experiment, I discovered that the claims about pyramids and food preservation were bunk. However, I made the serendipitous discovery that pyramids are great insect repellents.
