Project 2025

Well, I have a feeling that Trump will "suddenly" remember Project 2025 and the "good, decent" people behind it now. Guess we'll see just how much will be implemented.
 
All the parts that require cutting will go full steam ahead. Goodbye dept of education. Others will take some time as they have to push funding through congress. Trump will not have Hitler powers until...oh...Jan of 2026. The house is not going to change much. So they will have to have Trump personally shoot any member that does not vote for any of his laws.
 
A lot of Project 2025 would be unpopular with Red State voters; "I want government cut but not that!"
I think it more of wish list then anything else.
 
I think they renamed it the 180 Day Project in an attempt to fool people into thinking they are not going to implement Project 2025.

As far as I know, 60% of Project-- sorry, the 180 Day Project was already implemented during Dump's reign.

Don't forget the "Bloodbath". "Firing Squads" for Liz Cheney. Those "very fine people" will now be empowered to round up undesirables for the internment camps. All will now be forced to hail and palm salute the new "Reich" leader. All these things should begin soon according to Democrats. Unless they were lying again, which is far more likely.
 
I think it really might take violent resistance or intimidation against these ghouls to make them think twice about going ahead with their agenda.

No, they'd welcome that because then they could respond with violence in kind.

What will actually reign in the madness is money: whatever wacky notions these maniacs propose, any that threaten the wealth of the wealthiest will be torpedoed. Making some poor girl carry her rapist's baby doesn't make a ripple to dividends, but mass deportations would impact the bottom line of billion-dollar agribusinesses. The "populism" we're experiencing is a creation of the moneyed interests and will not work against them. Trump says things to get power, then uses that power to boost money. It's why he is.

MAGA "populism" is as much of a tool as Christianity is for the Republican party. That some/many/most of those being used don't realize it just makes them easier to use.

Stephen Miller appears to the be the choice for deputy chief of staff for policy.

It's highly likely the ONLY voters negatively affected by it will be Red State voters. But they are simply going to have to learn the hard way - by experiencing what they voted for. Blue states, meanwhile, will simply resist, or more likely just ignore Project 2025 and do their own things. States have all the power, according to Donny's bought-and-paid-for SCOTUS.

So you expect the SCOTUS to actually make decisions along the lines that "It's OK for Florida to not deport their brown people because they mow the white folks' lawns but California MUST deport their brown people because they are taking honest Americans' lawn-mowing jobs"? And expect not to be ignored?

I would imagine the initial thrust of the militarised mass deportations would be in blue states/cities. Then in red states after consulations with the Governors and corporate interests there.
