Project 2025

That slapping sound, of meat against meat, is you realizing your preferred government has been a cabal of powerful elites all along.

Well to some degree, yes. But again the 'whattaboutism' is insane. Given the choice of living under a Putin-led oligarchy and a system that at least has some democratic system in place, most of us would prefer the latter.

Sure. But that's not the choice you've been given. It if it is, it's the Biden-Harris choice. Putin worked himself up through insider channels, co-opting the established systems of corruption and power along the way. Trump never served in the CIA. Trump never managed commerce for one of the major ports of a kleptocracy. Trump never leveraged the support of kleptocrats to secure his presidency.

Sure he did. What do you thing the Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, etc are? He used Rupert Murdoch, the Kochs, Forbes, Sheldon Adelson and countless others of America's kleptocrats. Just as he is using Musk today.

Not only that, but despite the MAGA cries of 'globalism--bad' we certainly know that there was lots of foreign influence and offshore money laundering during the Trump term.

When asked about connections to Russia, Trump replied:
Trump said:
I don't know who Putin is.

When asked about the fact that David Duke was supporting him, Trump replied:
Trump said:
I just don’t know anything about him.

So it's no surprise at all that when asked about Project 2025, he replied:
Trump said:
I have not seen it. I have no idea who is in charge of it.

He's probably been foisting this flavor of nonsense since he was a toddler.

Exactly.

Not many people know this, but he kilt him a bar when he was only three, and used the skin for bootstraps.

TIL government service is just like Putin. As opposed to talking and acting like a Temu Putin

I think you've got that kinda backwards. Those guys are using him. He's utterly unaware of that, of course. You can't actually tell Trump anything, but he's extremely suggestible.

They may have intended using him but he is so impulsive and self centred that it's near impossible keeping him on track.

You know, a case could be made that the majority of America's problems stem from "foreigners"...

Rupert Murdoch (from Australia) started Fox news, the republican propaghanda arm

Mark Burnett (from the UK) was producer of The Apprentice, the reality TV show that arguably resurrected Trump's career

Saudi Arabia seems to want to mess with oil prices in a way that benefits republicans

Russia gave assistance to Trump to get him elected
