Project 2025

I wrote "chaotic plotters," but Otto Kreckt (or my blunt finger) made them into chaotic potters. On balance, after 32 years of hobby pottery making, I believe the second noun is a better choice. It certainly conveys the loony, leaky, lopsided attempts of our current crop of fascistoids to fashion even mud into anything menacing.

Believe that's my say.

I just assumed you were using 'potters' as some sort of derogatory slang that is common in the area you are from. (Sort of like a British person calling someone a "wanker", or a Canadian calling someone a "Leafs fan")

Now are some of you picking up on why ai think writing off armed resistence to tyranny in the US is a pretty stupid thing?

And I don;t think it would be all that easy to implement.
What do you think would be difficult?

Yes, some of the changes would require legislative changes. But as we saw in Trump's first term, republican congress-critters are largely subservient to Trump.

And the supreme court can no longer be provided on to provide any push-back on presidential power overreach.

Gay Furries have been all other the Heritage Foundation !

They better scrub themselves with bleach inside and outside, or they will all become gay furries, too !

It looks like the word it out. I heard on the radio that project 2025 is the most searched term in google. We need to keep it up and keep letting people know.

Equating homsexuals and transgender people wth pedophiles and then calling for the death penalty for pedophiles.

That's not specific at all. You have a direct quote or at least a page number?

I think they are already switching to some version of a No True Scotsman fallacy on this one and claiming that they never really supported Project 2025. Pretty well claiming now that it was never a serious proposal that was never taken seriously; the Dems made up a threat from something that nobody ever intended to implement anyway.

But they'll still support most individual components of 2025, just insisting that supporting all parts of the plan is not the same as supporting the whole thing, with the No True Scotsman argumentation tactics being used to support that.

Just like when they figured out how to make abortion illegal, they are trying to convince the public that the democrats are just being dramatic.

Republicans do evil.
Democrats highlight that evil.
Republicans claim that Democrats have it all wrong about the evil.
Evil happens.
Republicans claim that it isn't that evil after all and Dems should just suck it up.

You forgot the part where Republicans accuse the Democrats being socialists/terrorist lovers/atheists/cop haters/unpatriotic etc etc and democrats tuck tail and start echoing the same Republican talking points in a feeble attempt to prove Republcians wrong.

You cow Americans by infuriating them. Ever heard of LBJ's "lowest whiteman"?

the idea isn't to tell us how they wil lmake our lives better. The idea is give us some "others" and tell us they are why our lives aren't as good as they should be. Or that "they" took something from us.

I don't know where he got it from, but Beau of the Fifth Column has a similar metaphor he keeps using where he imagines a white and black man who each has a plate with a single cookie, and a rich factory owner with his plate full of cookies. Before either of the two men have time to contemplate how unjust this is, the factory owner says to the white man, "hey, watch out for that black guy. He wants to take your cookie".

That's been around for years. But the way I heard it, the white (or middle class) guy has a cookie and black (or poor) guy has some crumbs.

The interesting thing is violence against, say, Project 2025's masterminds would be more in-line with the country's founding values than the assassinations of Lincoln, JFK, MLK.

The Founding Fathers would smile from above at political violence for once.
