Annoying thing is this sodding "investigation" is costing 10 million pounds. 10 Million squid to point out the bleeding obvious. It's the most annoying thing I've found out this week.

The 2nd most annoying thing is that the civil servant in charge of controlling government spending has spent £27,000 of taxpayer money on meals over four years.

Eighteen pounds a day (or twenty six pounds every work day). How much of his work time is spent away on site visits and what have you, and what is a reasonable price for a decent breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the UK?
