Pre-TAM Dare-Devils: Join Us for Some Insane Rides Before the Rationality Convention

We need at least 10 people for a group rate, for Slotzilla. I doubt we're going to get that in time.

I can get tickets for everyone so far, anyway. I assume we're doing at least the Superman-style Zoom line. Does anyone else want to do the regular zipline in addition to that?

What, rooming with me isn't enough of a thrill? My roommate has to run off and try to find even great fulfillment? Yeesh! You are all cancelled from having any thread in this authori-tie (that's "tie" as in Eric Cartman's "Respect My Authori-tie!"). Now I am off to IKEA because I understand the next thing to do is assemble a table. Do I have this right? SB
 
6 Tickets for 10 PM, July 15th, for the Zoom Line (aka "Upper Line") have been purchased!

I selected "Will Call" for the pick up option. And, I will PM the order number to everyone on the list. In the unlikely event I am late or can't make it, the rest of you, at least, can still go on the ride without me.

If some of you change your mind, I will see about finding others to take the tickets, I guess.

There is still room to add more folks! It's not too late to join us! Though, your flight time might be slightly different than the rest of us, depending on crowds.

Since I don't know the layout of the hotel that well, I can only guess where a good meeting place will be. I propose someplace near the hotel's registration and or concierge desk would be good. Most of the people on the list should know me. But, just in case, I could hold up a sign saying "Amazing Meeting Slotzilla Group" or something.

It should only take 15 mins to drive from the Tropicana to where Slotzilla is.

Perhaps between 9:15 PM and 9:30 PM would be a good meeting time?

Sounds good. As I mentioned earlier, I'll be in Vegas early, so if I see a better option for the meeting place, I'll suggest it here.

I'm thinking of opening a new "scouting" thread here anyway once I get there, to post pictures and impressions. :)

Not canceled, no. I have the tickets reserved and paid for.

This particular activity (flying like Superman down a street) does not involve drinking. The flying is REAL (though you are hanging from a zip line), not a mere hallucination, you know.
They probably won't let drunk people do it.

Unfortunately, Georgina had to drop out of this session, because she discovered she is arriving on Thursday evening. :(

But, the two of us might return on another evening. Since I want to try both the upper and lower lines, perhaps I will do the upper with you folks. And, when I return with her, I can do the lower. Maybe. :confused:

If no one on this forum grabs the extra ticket for Wednesday, within a day or so, I will offer it to other non-forum friends.
