I guess that's my expectations for 2016

Republican presidential victory (let's hope I am wrong)
Actual scientific evidence of Bigfoot will be discovered
An attempted armed uprising to overthrow the US government

(Go big or go home)
 
1. A school shooting or terrorist attack will be livestreamed on the internet.
2. After an unprecedented leak of Google search data, internet vigilantees will ruin countless lives.
3. A newly elected European Far-left government will be removed from power by EU sanctions.
4. A tragic death will occur on the set of a superhero film.
5. A dinosaur sceleton will be found, suggesting a subterranean, burrowing lifestyle.
6. The following people will die: Morgan Freeman, Ringo Starr, Ian McKellen
 
Here are my predictions. If (when) they prove to be true, please share publicly. If they do not come true, please keep your mouth shut.

1. A terrorist attack will occur in Germany.
2. President Obama will be hospitalized (~2 days) for a minor surgery.
3. A country singer will be involved in a cheating/sex scandal.
4. A former child actor will be arrested and sentenced to jail time.
5. A major natural disaster will occur in south-east Asia resulting in hundreds of fatalities.
6. Microsoft stock will drop when the reviews of the iPhone 7 are underwhelming.
7. The following people will die: Barbara Walters, Dan Aykroyd, Charles Barkley.
 
A prediction I forgot to put in:

Serious drought in Africa causing the largest humanitarian disaster to date.
 
Low hanging fruit:

The BBC will announce the new Companion for Doctor Who. The character will be a 20-something from the modern day UK.



(Yes, I miss the old days of Companions who were from the past, future, or other planets.)
 
1. A man will create an artificial woman out of items found at Walgreens.
2. There will be irrefutable proof of the existance of Bigfoot.
3. Dalek Invasion!
4. The second coming of Jesus will lead to the eventual birth of Jesus Jr.
5. The Moon will be found to be made entirely of balsa wood.
6. I predict that none of my other predictions will come true.
 
While promoting a new book, J. K. Rowling will reveal that she has always considered three of the prominent characters in the popular Harry Potter series to be Muslim.

GE will launch another TV ad campaign whose point is bafflingly obscure.

A new quirky cross-genre version of Pride and Prejudice will prove surprisingly popular among readers of quirky cross-genre versions of Pride and Prejudice.

An ESPN article will claim that Tom Brady was the man behind the grassy knoll when JFK was assassinated in 1963. The NFL will investigate, declare the accusation "as likely as it is completely impossible," and suspend Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski for two games.

A series of Young Adult novels will have a sensational debut. The series will portray parentless teenagers fighting back in a dystopian world where they're all being totally screwed over by adults.

Apple, Google, and Amazon will all launch competing and mutually incompatible monthly subscription plans for something that used to be free.

You left out the "attractive female" part of the description.

  2. A major step forward in fusion energy will be announced.
  3. Race relations in the United States will deteriorate for the first half of the year before seeing some improvement starting in July.
  4. There will be terrorist attack in Canada.
  5. In the States, someone will announce compelling evidence of the existence of bigfoot. After a media circus, it will be found to be a hoax.
  6. There will be rumours of war in the Far East.
  7. Well-known people who will die: Vera Lynn.

EXTERMINATE!
 
China, tired of propping up N.Korea, will invade. The USA will be forewarned and collude with China on this in return for elimination of 50% of US debt to China. Korea remains divided but ease of access across the border is vastly improved. The war is officially declared over and US forces are reduced to a fraction of present levels in S.Korea.

Doubt if this would happen, however if it did then it would benefit a lot of people. Even better if the South got something as well, such as improved contacts with the North.
