Philanthropic Misanthrope
My wife shared this lovely tidbit from the local paper, the News Leader, in Macedonia, OH. Apparently Answers in Genesis is hosting a two day creationism conference at a church just down the road from my house. It "includes five sessions with topics covering aliens, dinosaurs, and "The Mystery of Ancient Man."
Now creationism is general and AiG in particular are idiotic, but what the heck? OK, I can see dinosaurs, maybe, as a topic, and certainly ancient man, but ... aliens? WTF? Can anyone explain to me why on Earth a creationist needs to talk about aliens?
I'm so tempted to go experience the blinding ignorance firsthand. Picketing would be fun too... Maybe I could dress my kids as monkeys.
