Penn & Teller at the Rio, Sunday, July 14, 9pm

Hmm, well I tried to order a ticket, but it got stuck at the validating the credit card stage. I may see if they can get me a ticket at the agency in the South Point later today.

Make sure it didn't go through. I once rented 8 cars at Budget because the cc approval kept timing out.

Bump!

What better way to close your TAM 2013 experience than with a show by the incomparable Penn & Teller?

Join us for dinner and Sunday's performance (get your tickets fast--the good seats are quickly running out!). Post in this thread or PM me if you want to come along with the TAM group. :)

Thanks for the tip. I just checked, and I didn't get charged.

I did get a ticket booked by my personal booking agent. :) Just as well, because the office in the South Point that did show and trip tickets has closed down.

The ticketmaster site just won't load on my phone. If anyone is yet to buy and wouldn't mind getting an extra I can give you the cash before we go.

Let's meet at the horse statue at 6:15 (or a few minutes after the closing remarks) to head to the Rio for Indian dinner and the show!

I'm not at TAM this year, but last year there was a jazz duo (bass and piano) playing in the hall where P & T performed for about 30-45 minutes before the show started. The pianist was very good, and the bassist was Penn, sounding very different from how he played at the bacon and donut party.

Not sure if he's doing that again this year, but he strikes me as a guy who won't turn down a chance to flaunt his stuff.

I'm new to the forum and a first TAMmer, but I bought a ticket for Sun night. I've got a car if someone wants to carpool (I could take 1 or 2 others).

I think it is safe to say that we had a better time than those who stayed for the MDC test. :D

Many thanks to the drivers!

And for next time--now we know that for Sunday it's probably unrealistic to try to schedule anything more than a quick meal or snack prior to the show.. :(

Cheers to all who joined!

Thanks for organizing, Adman! I'm disappointed that we missed out on the Indian food but the show was great!!

Yes, he was there playing. Great sound.

My ticket is spare, if anyone wants it.

Shame you missed it, was a great show.

I had a great time, thanks for organising it. I would have gone on my own anyway as I wanted to see them, but it was much nicer going in a group.

Thanks also to the drivers.
