Agreed. It digusts me to say it, but Trump to a degree is right, the drug cartels are a huge problem in Mexico. In some areas, they seems to be an "overmighty subject" that are more powerful then the government. Think Sicily during the heigh of the Mafia;s power.
Having said that, I have zero faith in Trump's ability to handle the situation. Insu.lting the President of Mexico is NOT a good move toware helping Mexico get the cartels under control.
You hate the US, we get it, we get it.Because generally speaking they didn't break their treaties of alliance with native powers that came to their side and held up their end of the bargains (hence why the Spanish nobility has significant Nahuatl ancestry, for example). The US broke every treaty it made, taking the rout of the English in Ireland (during and after the plantations) and the EIC in India.
There have been few powers as duplicitous in its dealings with tbeir neighbours as the US has been.
Yes, at the moment most of the world seems to hate America and with good reason. You hate the US, we get it, we get it.
And the Spanish treatment of Native Tribes was no better then the American Treatment.
And btw, the Spanish noblity if you mean people noble titles....have littel Nahuatl blood. Few of them made it over to Spain.
Now if you are talking the ruling clasese of Latin America....that is a different story.
Agreed.
But as I commented recently, the WORST solution is building supposedly impenetrable border walls that are porous as a sieve, and sending the US military on illegal gung-ho incursions into Mexico shooting up everybody.
If I can be more precise?Yes, at the moment most of the world seems to hate certain notorious criminal elements in the government of America and with good reason.
America has ◊◊◊◊ on any goodwill anyone apart from ◊◊◊◊◊ had for it.
It's almost like the abject failures of their solutions for drug control are not the true reason why they exist.see what conservatives do is identify a problem and find a way to exploit it, and if you call them out on it, it's a bait and switch and they accuse you of being against solving the problem.
It's almost like "solving the drug problem" is not the true reason the "solutions" exist.so yes, the drug cartels are a problem. that's completely unrelated to any actions trump wants to take in mexico. but if you demostrate any skepticism against that, the discussion becomes why you're against solving the drug problem.

No, take lookIf I can be more precise?
Watters: How does taking out a dictator in Venezuela help the average American?
Vance: It means is we are going to be able to control the incredible natural resources of Venezuela
Deserve ? Who cares. Don certainly don't.Able to control. Like the way some burglars stole our neighbours car keys and were able to control their new car.
Don't the Venezuelan people deserve to hear what deal you've done with the old regime's henchmen who are still in control? What's your cut? What percentage of their cashflow is now going into your pockets?
When I was in the US Army, one thing that was driven home to us was the saying that "Proper Preperation Prevents Piss Poor Performance". Tump apparenly never learned this or did Hesgarth for that matter. They may have a concept of a plan in a few weeks, at the moment:
CNBC: Is there a narrative in Venezuela that you are stealing their oil?
CHRIS WRIGHT: That's untrue. We're just controlling the flow of revenues from their oil
Or maybe even a nice "Booo" .. but then we would need "Booo, not you, Andy" as well ..We need a facepalm reaction icon. The laugh hysterically thing can work, except not really, it's much too open.
Indeed. It seems that in the UK, the leader can just call off elections when he/she sees that polls show they are in for a trouncing, and they can call an election early, usually just before they want to do something they know will cause their polling to go south. If you bothered to google the question. you would have found out that the Midterms for the House and part of the Senate are In November, the next Presidential electins is in 2028,
US is different then the UK in that elections have fixed dates.
