Sarah Palin is outraged about Sunday's Family Guy episode because it depicted a girl with Down syndrome as being a bad guy:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.co...x’s-‘family-guy’/?fbid=OPJb4LKUF--#more-90520

The episode, if guilty of anything, was guilty of expressing the false message, "I thought people with Down syndrome were special, but you're not! You're just like anyone else!"

It did bring up a touchy subject: the sex/romantic lives of people with Down syndrome. Too bad Palin isn't in favor of discussing such topics.

This incident gives me deja vu.

ETA: I wonder too if Palin thinks people with Down syndrome remain babies or children forever? Or if that's how they should be considered.

I watched the clip. Didn't get what was supposed to be offensive and what was supposed to be funny.

Kinda like every Family Guy show.

I thought it was because the character said something like "My mom is the ex governor of Alaska."

Are you sure that Palin wasn't just outraged that Family Guy is still on the air?

If so, I've gained a lot of respect for her.

Family Guy will remain on the air until college kids develop a distaste of pot.

I can see the manatees working their magic for the next episode:

Peter: You think that's bad? Do you remember the time I argued with Sarah Palin on her facebook page?

(Fade to Peter on his facebook page. A series of hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-dull-saucepan pop-culture references follow.)

It's about as subtle as being hit over the head with a blue whale, but that same episode also had a storyline about psychics and cold reading.

He's by no means a nuanced or terribly interesting writer, but the show has consistently taken an anti-woo stance to a mainstream audience, something I appreciate.

Palin needs to stay in the public eye if she wants a further political career, so naturally she'll seize every opportunity to be in the news, even over something idiotic like a joke on a cartoon. Whether she's offended or not doesn't matter, the point was to remind the public she exists.

I've never liked Family Guy. But I dislike Sarah Palin far more.

Attention grabbing ***ore. She will get outraged at anything that people may say about her in humor, demanding apologies and stamping her feet because of her little temper tantrum. She needs to go back to obscurity where she belongs.

Maybe she's pissed about Peter trying to feel up a 12 year old. I don't know and I don't really care because Palin can take her hypocritical preachy hot ass back to Russia. I'm so sick of hearing about her and her little brats.

i luv Family Guy :) and after hearing they offended Palin, i love it even more :D

Family Guy is offensive and takes shots at everyone. That’s the whole show…

Palins repeated demands for special treatment are getting more then a little annoying.

As far as I can see, the whole outrage is over the fact that FG had the audacity to treat a DS child as a real person and not just the lovable Corky from "Life Goes On."

But jeez, to actually have a non-DS person have a crush on someone with DS and ask her out? That's very progressive, and notable. In a good way.

I'm glad Sarah didn't see my post about creating a slave race of ds people.

Because that was really insensitive.

So a down's syndrome person can't also be a high-maintenance, controlling biatch?

Indeed, Family Guy can be incredibly offensive, they pull NO punches. I have been slightly offended by several things they have portrayed. But hey, its Family Guy. :)

Palin needs to learn to play along...or don't play at all.

I fail to see how anyone can take her "outrage" on the subject seriously, after she was so willing to excuse Limbaugh.
