Well, the owl wasn't flying before--now it is--
It looked to me like the owl was doing a complete nose-dive before the video was abruptly stopped. Where are the shots of it flying off into the distance?
With the limited amount of soft tissue in that area those needles would have been going right through the ligaments of the foot and into bone or joints - I'd think that would be pretty painful. Also, when injecting reptiles it is a cardinal rule to do a full surgical prep first to avoid the risk of abscess formation a few months down the line. Birds' feet are very similar to reptile tissues, I'd be doing a surgical prep before sticking needles into that site but there's no evidence of it being done in the video.Granted, those needles probably don't hurt the animal much...
All in all this is a cruel and unnecessary way to treat an animal. I wonder where she obtained her ancient Chinese Owl Acupuncture Points chart?
