Penn and Teller looking for opening acts for their Vegas Show.

Lots of Magic (comparatively) on UK TV at the moment with BBC's "The Magicians". Spoiled a bit by the inclusion of celebs but still watchable.

'The Magicians' has been utterly crap (my opinion), I continue to try and watch it in the hope that it will get better... so far... it's not happening.

The Penn and Teller 'Fool Us' show on the other hand was really enjoyable... I loved it.

Naaaa.... I leave all that politically correct blandness to the BBC :D

Were you not concerned by the show's apparent nod towards Woo being real?

Mass suggestion that Lenny Henry is a comedian? I missed the woo.
Also missed the majority of Lenny Henry by fast forwarding iPlayer.

Oh thank god - I thought I was the only one....

Even the audience wasn't laughing at his 'jokes' - so it's not just a culture thing... (plus I normally get british humour)

Magicians and celebs bad idea x100.

Everything has to involve celebs these days!

There was a bit in the first show where those two annoying kids (Barry & Stuart) mentioned that they were going to do some mind reading and they said "not the real physchic mind reading though", there was another nod towards Woo later in the show too but thankfully my mind is already blocking out the memory of the experience :)

Yes, I've never found Lenny Henry funny, I don't dislike him, just don't appreciate his humour.

I watched "Penn & Teller Fool Us," and thought it was very good. A variety of good (some very good) magic and no real exposure, IMO. Overall an entertaining show. :)
