So are the troofers all going to start wearing Guy Fawkes masks at their get-togethers?

IIRC, there was a protest a while back in DC where they all dressed as V. I think it was more anti war than 9/11 but I'd bet some truthers were there.

{Note: Fat Vs are funny.}

I feel I ought to defend the V for Vendetta comic book by Alan Moore on which the s***ty movie was based.

I heard the comic book, "graphic novel," or whatever you want to call it had even more pro-anarchy overtones than the movie did. Is that true?

It was We The People, a tax conspiracy group: http://www.givemeliberty.org/RTP2/UPDATES/Update2006-11-11.htm

This was part of their campaign to petition the government for their "unanswered questions" about taxation, like what law requires them to pay taxes, what the definition of "income" is, and other things you can find answers to on IRS.gov's easy-to-find FAQ page. Twoofers aren't the only ones who can Just Ask Questions.

So they all put on V For Vendetta masks and wandered around D.C. As the old George Carlin bit goes, they were not armed and no one paid any attention to them.

There was a thread on the Quatloos.com forum about it, complete with pictures, but it got lost when they changed forum software. Some skillful Googling will turn up bits and pieces of the thread that have been cached.
