New question for kurious_kathy...

Ofcourse she'll vote....

how did you think George W Bush got re-elected?

Well I wasn't going to go quite that far with it, but, I know. ...sigh.

Ignorance is not a virtue. Is that so hard to understand? Kathy?

Actually, in KK's belief system, ignorance is one of the greater--if not the greatest--virtues. After all, the first sin was eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God wanted us to stay ignorant (and don't get me started on that again).

People who are ignorant are easy to control and can be led to believe almost anything. Education is seen as a tool of the devil. See, the more you know, the better you are at asking questions, but asking questions leads to doubt. Doubt is bad. We must never doubt God, nor doubt those who are obviously God's messengers. (It's obvious, because they plainly say they are God's messengers. And who would lie about such a thing?)

Ignorance, we can see, leads to obedience.
Therefore, ignorance is good.

I think it would be wise for all people to consider what they think is wisdom? Do you think a college education is the only thing that makes someone smart? If so I would strongly disagree with you. I am thankful that God uses the foolish things according to mans wisdom to reveal His truth! Should we not all stay humble and teachable? I think so.
And I really don't understand why ,slingblade you choose to call me stupid? Do you see me calling you stupid? It's not very nice of you in my opinion.

I didn't call you anything, lady.

I did, however, touch a nerve.

Ignorance and stupidity are not the same things.

ETA: Got news for you: I was smart long before I went to college.

I'm glad you feel that way. It is good for someone to feel confident in their understanding of life and things attached to it. It is said however a man thinks, so he is? My mom always tells me this one.

I guess some of my biggest concerns about society is people just don't treat others the way they want to be treated.

People on this forum ridicule you because you refuse to enter any type of discourse that is in any way meaningful. instead you preach.

So, in effect, we are treating you on par how you treat us. You don't get to play the martyr on this one.

I myself had gotten so sick watching the news after 911 I stopped watching the news. I might read headlines in the paper but I am not one that is well educated on what goes on world wide nor do I want to be.

This is sad. Very sad.

But highly consistent with the fundies I know. Are you sure you want to limit this thought to today's geo-political climate? You should also include science, medicine, art, weather, sociology............................

Well put. I think you've hit the nail on the head here.

I think it would be wise for all people to consider what they think is wisdom? Do you think a college education is the only thing that makes someone smart?

I haven't heard anyone here say that. There are plenty of idiots with degrees. There are plenty of smart, respected posters on this forum without much formal schooling. Playing the "you're picking on me because you're more educated" card won't work here.

I think you might be projecting just a bit.

For the record I do not have a college degree, and only have a tradeschool certifacation as a sound engineer.

Kathy claiming the uneducated persecution is a moot point.

As a Muslim, if I love God and do good works, is there a place for me in heaven?

Luke, Chapter 10, 25-28
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
If I can just ask you 1 important question here. Do you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God? I ask this because the scripture you are using here applies to only those who know the one true God. Jesus Christ is Lord!

oh, kathy
you're as dumb
as they come
oh, kathy

Luke 10:26

Where in the law is it written that to believe in God, one must believe in the Son of God?

What is written in the LAW that Jesus is referring to?

Honestly, what's the point in that?

You reap what you sow, Kathy. You came here preaching and being disrespectful to others, and then you whine when it comes back to you. If you can't take it, then don't dish it out.
