Need help resolving a physics claim.

This fan seems to be the air equivalent of the steam injector. Not anything innovative at all.

Not really, they use venturi plus conversion of latent heat to produce a pressure that is above the pilot steam pressure.
The Dyson fan is an example of the Coanda effect. Some garden leaf vacs use the same principle.
 
I disagree: he's using the term, so he obviously intends it to mean something.

I disagree - this is an advertisement. Words in advertisements are intended to make the audience feel something. The word itself isn't necessarily intended to mean anything.

(for example, rich Corinthian leather was not actually made in Corinth, and even if it were there's nothing special about leather made in Corinth as opposed to anywhere else, but it sure sounded cool when Ricardo Montalban said it)
