It's barely a block from the venue.

La Quinta Manhattan $199/night. 2 blocks from Penn Station and 5-6 from the venue.

Yeah, I normally would't stay in one, but the location is perfect, the price is right, and I'm finding lots of good reviews. And I stayed at a Ramada Inn (NECSS III) on the east side owned by the same people that was a terrific bargain.

For now it's my placeholder hotel, I'm still looking for something nicer that isn't $400 a night.
