What is the name of the heresy where one asks if Adam had nipples? It's such a problem because if Adam had worthless nipples then god created Adam with a feature that is not consistant with intelligent creation; thus god is lying. or If Adam didn't have nipples then he wasn't the same as us and thus how do we have his sin nature?

Or not very intelligent.

Well,... why would a physical difference between Adam and us mean that we do not receive a share of his original sin?

A side question... who cares about his nipples, did he have a belly button?

:)

"Omphalogical" is the term used to describe the argument about belly buttons (or the lack of them) not sure if there's an equivalent for the presence or otherwise of nipples.... pointless might be a good one.

See "Did Adam and Eve have Navels" (Martin Gardner) for more.

Is that a apologetic book? I hate apologetics. I might just have to force myself to read it and debunk it; and yes that is the word I couldn't remember.

As far as I am aware the answer is no. I have read his Annotated Alice in Wonderland - excellent!

(my spelling!)

I'm reading that book. Interesting book on all sorts topics--alien abduction, Heaven's Gate cult, sCAM, etc.

Has Martin Gardner written any apologetic book?

Excuse me, I don't know all of his work and way of thinking, maybe he has, but from the little I've read and the recent 90th birthday postcard flood sponsored by Randi himself, I tend to think he would never do that...

A question can't be heretical, even though many Christians claim otherwise.

You must note the difference between:

" To question .. "

and

" A question.. " ;)

It is my understanding, when it comes to religion, asking questions is against the rules.

Perhaps, then, your understanding is a bit faulty, as asking questions has a place in the religion I have come across.

Ah, but does getting answers also have a place?

How about asking the same questions a second time after not getting answers the first?

I generally haven't received good answers unless, they have been 'try working it out yourself' or 'there isn't an answer!'.

I don't eny you, either, Nex, being strangled by that dirt old belt
