Mythbusters

Actually the moon hoax also involved the "brutal murder" of three people.

Depends who you go by. Bill Kaysing, the so-called grandfather of the Moon Hoax, claimed that Challanger was blown up because Christa McAuliffe refused to say she couldn't see any stars. He also claimed that NASA had murdered many others involved in the Apollo programme, including Pete Conrad, whom Kaysing claims was going to spill the beans during the 30th anniversary of Apollo 11's landing (they somehow pushed him off his motorcycle about 3 weeks before.)

Mythbusters is one of my favorite shows. This coming from someone who wathces as little TV as possible. To take on 9-11 myths would totally ruin the lighthearted nature of it. Besides, I doubt they want to deal with the inevitable harrasment from the "truth" crowd.

Whoaaa... I thought they were only slightly insane with the idiotic Apollo 1 claim.

One handy thing about the Apollo Nutters is that they are even more fragmented than the 9/1 crowd. With 9/11 it's mostly about hating Bush and making money is second. The Apollo crowd can't bank on hating Bush so it's all about making mioney, and every other nutball out there is someone muscling in on their market. They hate each other. Now that the NSA got Bill out of the picture (they zapped him with an old age ray) the others are scrapping over the shards left, and with 9/11 sucking all the money from the scene they are really having trouble. YouTube (the CT's favorite medium) is a bain for them too. More fish in the pond and you can't charage for YouTube stuff (plus the last thing you want when trying to sell your video is to have it up on YouTube for free.) Ahhh, tis a strange world once you decide to distance yourself from reality.
