Legoland is definitely worth doing, it is a great place. If you do TJ (Tijuana) do not do it drunk. Every party I have gone to in San Diego, at some point in the party when everyone is fairly inebriated someone says "hey let's go to TJ", it is not a good idea, really

Turns out my passport is not chipped. So it may not be "machine-readable" after all.

It seems like with almost a year to accomplish this, it should be do-able...

Actually, I'm told that flights from Australia do not go to San Diego, so I'd be flying into LA regardless.

And if you're willing to put me up for a couple of nights, the least I could do is let you tag along while I do the tourist thing! Thanks for the offer!

It should indeed. But my dad worked in the passport office for a while before he retired, and somethings give me pause for doubt...

I'd better get onto it. It can't be too uncommon a request.
