Whats the point in that though? Its a good resource all these posts here and keeping it separate also makes it easier to search. 911 is still the most popular conspiracy theory after all

I am not saying get rid off it, but rather leave it here, but close all threads in it, to remain here for research purposes.

Open a couple of general 9/11 CT threads in the general CT section as any new things come forward.

Seriously, in the last TWO YEARS, how many TRULY new and debate worthy topics or issues have come up 9/11 related?

One related question, how are the other 9/11 forum sites going? Are they suffering or is it just us? If it is just us then this forum has problems. If it is everyone then it is a victory for critical thinking.
 
Just compared the rate of new threads between this forum and above top secret forum in the 911 sub forums. They have killed just as many threads in the year ending 10 March 2010 as in the previous 12 months. But JREF sub forum had far fewer threads killed in the last 12 months (38 pages worth) compared with the previous 12 months (57 pages). If you go back another 12 months then that is 187 pages worth.

This sub forum is slowly being ignored by people. It is more attractive to go elsewhere to discuss 911 now than any time in the past.

The sad paradox, is that this forum has less traffic, especially from truthers, because they know they get their asses handed to them here. Yet the lack of traffic might be the very reason this subforum goes by by, and then would not be available as a place to hand a truther's ass to him.

IMHO, DEW has been addressed as much as it can be addressed at present. I have said until I am blue in the face that ARA and SAIC, along with DEPS and the AFRL's Directed Energy Directorate need to be fully reviewed in the context of Eisenhower's "military-industrial-complex" warning to all of us. That approach has not ever caught on and therefore there's nothing to discuss as I see it, that hasn't already been discussed or found on Dr. Judy Wood's website.

I'm reluctant to repoen Dick Oliver because you folks now know that all you have to do is call me names and the thread will get closed and hidden. Many lurkers cannot access AAH. I had openly acknowledged that appeal to new people was one of the main purposes of the thread as I saw it.

One can reasonably infer that the handle "t j" stands for Torquemada Junior because the query it asks is set up so as to create a gotcha scenario. Torquemada Junior asks:

Do any truthers here have a plausible hypothesis for what they think happened on 9/11?

So, right at the outset, the endeavor is simply one of control. Torquemada asks the question, then gets to have a field day based on ridicule and a readily available "amen corner."

In saying, as you do, "10 days, 995 views and yet not a single Truther posting", you act surprised. No person who is interested in reasoned discourse would willingly go along with inquisitional tactics. tj15 has not demonstrated the least interest in having a reason-based discussion and is merely playing a stupid game based on the way the thread was set up.

Excellent observation. It's been my experience that truthers are looking for converts rather than having a debate in an environment where they know they're going to loose. IMO it takes a really really stubborn truther to come in here and have a go.

Over on another forum, I had five of them on the go. One who just cant accept the fact that the WTC collapses are a mass vs structure problem and refuses to look it as anything other than a density issue including stating that the collapses violate the laws of physics,

Another one is politically motivated and throwing out everything in the truther handbook. I have my doubts whether he actually believes what he's posting but IMO he's got too much of an emotional investment in being a troofer to back down and do some proper research. interestingly, with this guy, I conceded LiHOP because it's not something I can refute and said truther jumped on that to "declare victory" and in the same post, mentioned MiHOP and LiHOP were the same thing.

Never concede. Don't let the guy shift the "burden of proof". It is his job to PROVE TO YOU, with SOUND EVIDENCE, that elements of the USG ALLOWED 9/11 to happen. If he can't provide this, then he has lost...not you.

They love to shift the burden of proof...do not let them.

T.A.M, I demanded proof of LiHOP, and from what I got, I managed to flick it off with a "that's really lame" type comment, "you can do better..can't you ? " which served to switch the debate back to MiHOP.

The fun part was doing the research here where I found things that would have taken a significantly longer time to find had I not had these resources. Things that served to make the truther's sources look like barking idiots which I followed up with "you really don't want to stand behind this guy do you? " type comments.

Like Neils Harrit and his "tons and tons of explosives" comment, or Dougles "the Jews did it" Herman and his Confessions of a 911 Hitman fiction.

I may pick up the thread again today as I noticed it was reopened after being shut down by the mods for being, err, being a 911 thread, but I have to see how much free time I'll have this weekend. It may have to wait until Monday.
