Missing College Student

That's another thing. She spends 4 days with someone, and all she can come up with is that?

Where was she kept during the 4 days?
I don't think the police have intensively questioned her yet. I'm thinking we'll know more today either way. The doctor said she was suffering from a little dehydration and had sore muscles from being confined. Of course, there is no real test for sore muscles you kind of have to take a person's word for it.

Another unanswered question was where was she going at 2:30 in the morning without taking her jacket, car keys, or cell phone. I'd like to know her explaination for that.

That also struck me as odd. Especially for a young woman who had reportedly just been attacked.

Also strange was the report (already mentioned above) that she was first sighted alone in a field. According to the CNN broadcast, the field was only a short distance from the rescue command center.

There was a noticable lack of details in the report I watched which also left me thinking this story is not what it seems.

Add me to the list of those whose B.S. meter is rising. Actually, it's screaming at me.

Part of the reason I'm getting a reaction on my B.S. meter is that the event occurred in Madison. Now, I like Madison, and I've visited the city many times, but there are a lot of nuts (religious, political and otherwise) there. Also, not too long ago, a "missing" student mysteriously turned up in Madison, having "disappeared" on his own. So the story has a familiar ring to it.

No foolin'

I think the young lady may be suffering from some form of mental illness. Time will tell. If she is i hope she recieves adequate treament because tht is a terrible thing to go through.

When they ask for so much help from the public in finding her (as they should), we deserve to be informed of the results, so long as it doesn't interfere with police work.

Yeah, it's like being hung out to dry. On the news here this morning they were saying that they believed the kidnapper to still be in the area, but there were no new details about what had happened while she was gone. I'm sure they have to keep looking for a suspect even if they suspect she's making it up, or deluded or something. The jury's still out on this one.

One of my best friends has been involved in this case for a while (no, not as a perpetrator or a law enforcement official, but as a friend to the family), and today he is being interviewed by newpapers and television programs. He is himself a former journalist, and describes the experience of being interviewed as "odd."

I happened to be the one who first broke the news to him that the girl had been found, alive and well. Because we're friends and we kid each other a lot, he might have wondered at first whether I was pulling his leg. But he also knows that I wouldn't kid about something serious like this. Naturally, he dropped what he was doing right away and devoted his efforts to the new developments . And then things really got interesting for him: friends, family, reporters, SWAT teams chasing suspects, more reporters....

A security camera recorded Seiler, 20, an honor student, leaving her apartment about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. She left her apartment door open, with her coat and purse inside.
CNN: Police to interview student about her disappearance

After less than a month after being "attacked" by someone never found?

Sniff test: I. Don't. Think. So.

Her disappearance had puzzled investigators because there was no sign of foul play.
...
After being reunited with his daughter, Keith Seiler told reporters, "Audrey was overjoyed to return back to us, just relieved, glad to be warm, to see her friends and family, [and] a bit surprised at the big hullabaloo. Other than that, she's just content right now."

She is abducted for four days, and when she returns, she is a "bit surprised" at the "big hullabaloo"?

Sniff test: I. Don't. Think. So.

Does anyone else think she just went on a drug binge and woke up in a field?

Hmmm, go outside at 2:30 am with no coat or anything. Yep, sounds like something someone wasted would do to me.

"I went out and the next thing I remember I woke up in the bus station in Buffalo 4 days later. How I got there, I don't know."

According to weather.com, the night temp was around freezing point.

Sniff test.

It'll be interesting to see what this is all about. But if it's a mini-drama gone national then I'll feel kind of bad for her. I mean, if she did something dumb that was meant to annoy and scare a few people locally then that's one thing but even if so I doubted she wanted to be on the front page of cnn.com for a period of days. People sometimes do stupid things when they're 20 years old (and other ages for that matter) but it's unfortunate when it ends up getting on the national news.

I'm glad my life wasn't on the national news when I was 20 (don't get excited...I didn't do anything too outlandish).

I concur...something is rotten in Madison. either a mental illness, or a meth binge. of course daddies good girl wouldn't do that so make up an attacker...

A huge parking lot to the left, the whole area encircled by major roads?

I think it is time to hear her explanation of how she got there.

I'm sure it will be very interesting....

Press conference scheduled in an hour. Another strange thing from this website http://www.themilwaukeechannel.com/news/2967959/detail.html

The Department of Revenue employee who called 911 yesterday after spotting Audrey in the marshy area near the DOR building is not talking to the media, but WISC-TV in Madison confirmed more information about the 911 call. A high-level police source told WISC-TV that the DOR worker must have talked to Audrey in the marsh. Audrey allegedly told the woman she was a college student and she goes to the marsh to relax. The woman told the 911 dispatcher she also saw Audrey on Monday and Tuesday.

Seiler, 20, spent the night at an undisclosed location with her parents. Police interviewed Audrey today, trying to piece together what exactly happened between the time she disappeared Saturday and her discovery yesterday.

That solves it...she was with the Vice President!!!! (undisclosed location etc)

No way. She was in Israel working on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

I think she was hiding out because the cops have finally figured out that she was the real killer of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
