Complete objectivity just doesn't exist in this world. . . Sorry. Anybody who has read peer-reviewed research articles which pride themselves on objective reporting of the facts knows this.
So what can you expect from a documentary designed for the masses? The perspective of the auteur is obviously going to guide production. I suppose the people who are attacking the film think that the only real documentary must be the sterile grade-school WWII type fare.
So right-wing folks are now flipping out that the film is not "fair" and are making personal attacks on Moore instead of on his hard facts, what else is new. They say he hates the USA because he actually challenges the mistakes and corruption of our leaders. In my experience, it seems when you hate something you generally don't care enough about it to do the hard work it takes to get it back on the right track.
If you read and watch his work you will see Moore is an equal-opportunity basher as far as politicians are concerned. He is an independent and hasn't endorsed any candidate. I didn't see this crowd getting upset about the scenes in the film criticizing democrats for supporting the war and his chapter in Stupid White Men that blasted Clinton.
But to tell you the truth I think the smear Moore campaign is great, it continues to give the film lots of publicity and keep it in the headlines and national debate. So keep up the good work.
