I just don't see the resemblance.
It is how naturally straight looking their hair is that gets to me.
In an interview when Jackson was married to Lisa Marie, Diane Sawyer asked about Michael's skin turning white.
Jackson's explanation did not make sense. He was suggestion that fame made his skin turn white and he was surprised to see it happen.
Lying was part of Jackson's game plan when it came to fame. It was part of presenting a package to sell and Jackson never thought of it as technically lying.
When the Jackson 5 was starting to break out on the Music scene. They took advantage of the fact that Michael looked short for his age. When Dick Clark asked Michael how old he was, he said 9 when he was really a few years older. This was important. This made Michael to be more of a gifted musical prodigy and genius than he really was. This was almost supernatural and made records fly off the shelf. It was what people wanted to believe. It was a marketing decision.
Michael saying that his skin somehow magically got lighter seemed to be his attempt to play that game once again. He was a talented performer, singer, and song writer, but he lacked smarts in other areas.
Lisa Marie jumped in. The two seemed to be getting along at that time and she wanted to save her husband from looking like a fool. She said that Michael was an artist and creative expression was part of who he was. How he looks and how he presents himself is part of who he is (she was implying what he was saying right then and there should be taken as part of the image he tries to create).
Now, how far would Jackson take this? I remember Rowe said that the genes that came from the father to produce the kids came by way of test tube. When an interview asked if that was normal for her she said, "Nothing Michael does is what you would call normal"
