Mel is a perfect example of living Biblically. Misogynistic, racist, hate-filled, homophobic and anti-semitic.
 
I think it's slightly more disgusting that she would surreptitiously tape their private conversations and release the bad parts to the press, in order to get custody of their daughter.
Obviously a slightly deranged gold-digger.

I'm sure, when she's older, her daughter will really enjoy the fact all this was made public for her sake.

No, I'm incredibly skeptical. I don't know if she leaked them or not. I just know that I don't have any evidence to prove it one way or the other and neither do you.

It is incredible the way the Gibson fanboys still try to portray Mel as a victim of the Media.
I have no doubt Oksana is more then a little bit of a Goldigger, but whether she leaked the tape or not does not change Gibson's disgusting rant.

Id have more respect if she hadnt leaked the tapes, but just kept them for her own use if the custody battle got nasty.
And people can say outrageous things in a row, its between the two of them. Obviously her missing teeth were a lie, how much do we know of what she says to drive him crazy?
I wont judge him on their nasty breakup. I will say he has a nasty mouth and she would be better not engaging with him, rather than meeting up to enrage and tape him!

Then why didn't you write: "She says she didn't leak them and you and I don't have any evidence that this is true or false" ?
That would have been you being incredibly skeptical.


Instead you went into "oh, poor woman" mode and automatically took her side by saying, as you did: "She says she didn't leak them and you don't have any evidence that she did."

Also, incidentally, she broke Californian law by taping him:
Under Californian law it is illegal to record someone without their knowledge if the conversation is believed to be confidential.

Whereas he was just being obnoxious in a spousal argument he believed to be confidential, in the midst of a custody battle.
 
The evidence that she leaked the tapes is that she made the tapes and they were leaked. Of course, its possible that they were leaked in some other way, but the most parsimonious explanation at the moment is that she leaked them.

And I thought everyone already knew Mel Gibson was an *******.
 
There was a restraining order to prevent release of the tapes. It's just as easy to think that someone in the courthouse leaked them to make a buck.

What I don't understand is - it being illegal in Californian law to secretly record what's believed to be a private conversation - how such tapes would even be submitted, on her behalf, to a Californian court (if they were).
Surely that would just be self-incriminating on her part, and certainly they would not be admissible, in her favour, in any hearing.

The legality or illegality of the recordings would depend upon the location where the phone calls originated, and where they were received, and the admissibility of them into evidence would depend upon several things, not least of which is the location of the court to which someone seeks to introduce them, and for what purpose.

Do you know where the calls originated and where they were received, and the location of the court to which they are sought to be introduced?
