Lunar Eclipse Tonight

Any link between baseball and lunar eclipses was something I was unaware of. ;)

In my experience, a lunar (or solar) eclipse usually portends heavily overcast skies. :( :( :(

It's Wednesday night (27th), not tonight (26th). There won't be another for 2 years!:(

Perhaps my own curse is broken then. The rain is supposed to clear out of Sactown by tomorrow.

You are correct, it begins Wednesday evening shortly after 7 p.m. eastern time, and will occur during scheduled game 4 of the series. Appy polly logies, all.

Thanks for the bump. The lunar eclipse takes place tonight!

Unfortunately, it is overcast here, and it doesn't look like the skies will clear. It would be nice if the government scheduled these eclipses for July or August, when skies are generally clearer. Yes, that was tongue-in-cheek.

Another bump.

Someone somewhere needs to view this for me, since our impenetrable sky is overcast, cloud-filled, and generally not conducive to eclipse enjoyment. Did I mention the limited visibility we're having today, including ground fog?

=)

I stayed up. Raining cats, dogs and goldfish outside.
The heck with it. Bedtime.

It's not till three/four in the morning here. And I think the weather will be a complete killer.

Rolfe.

I can see the moon from my bedroom window, and there isn't a cloud in the sky! I'm excited, the show should start in just a couple of minutes!!!

Very politely sod you. It's raining here.

About halfway to full occusion. Looking at it through binoculars, the Earth's shadow really makes it look like a 3D sphere, rather than the usual disk. The shadowed area is fairly red to the naked eye.

Crystal clear in MA, fairly warm out too. It's almost complete at 10:27 EST.
Go Sox.

Unexpectedly clear here in the Northwest.

Cool. Too much light around, though, 'cause I'm still stuck at work...

Guess what. A huge freakin' cloud blew in front of the moon. I missed it. There is no god.

The cloud blew away just before the total eclipse. There was lots of rain earlier and the sky is is now sparkling and clear. There is a god! My God must be better than yours!
