This is an old hoax and my only interest in it lies in the fact that I believed it when I was a child. It is about the secret death of two cosmonauts in space with only two Italian radio amateurs picking up the signals. It supposedly happened even before Gagarin, but the improbability of two cosmonauts in space before the Russians had even managed it with a single cosmonaut has never stopped the Cold Warriors from believing it!

Thanks! I was surprised that I'd never heard of the allegations at this site...and that this wasn't common knowledge after the demise of the USSR. Oh well...feeling a tad foolish (not at all unusual) here...
