Life is suffering?

Over at sciforums.com, I'm involved in a thread about whether or not 'Life is Suffering'; more specifically, if there's anything we can do to fix this suffering.

I seem to be the only one there in favor of progress. Am I crazy? Any support would be welcome.

"Life is suffering"? That sounds very Buddhist. Try throwing the word 'dharma" against the wall and see if it sticks.
