Or maybe just a different screen resolution: I'm tending to miss quite a lot at the top and bottom of the screen as well.

Very nice, I'm always looking out for new photosynthesis animations.

The evolution section fit to the screen easily using the Opera browser (View - Fit to Width) and just changed the screen size by zooming out with the +- keys) to get the top and bottom of the animation included.
