He's out of jail?
I loved listening to him on the radio the day he was convicted. He was promising to blow the whistle on his colleagues, using typically colorful language. He said he was coming down with "chirpies", a "canarial disease".
Blagoiovitch(sp?) reminded me of Trafficant. They had one thing in common. They saw corruption around them, and wanted really bad to cash in on it. However, they failed to notice that when shaking down people for bribes, you had to follow the letter of the law. He didn't notice that it was ok for a congressman, when asked to support some legislation, to note that he was facing a very tough reelection campaign the next year, and he wasn't sure how well that vote would play, and if he had the resources to make sure the voters understood his position. However, it wasn't ok to say, "I'll vote your way if you put $20,000 in my campaign fund." The difference was too subtle for a straight up guy like Trafficant to understand.
