Jack Chick's New Tract

that's not what they believe. it is ok to believe in evolution as long as you belive that jesus died for your sins; this is how so many of them can justify anything else they do or believe. once they are thusly 'saved', it doesn't matter what they do or believe - they go to heaven.

This one lays it out more straightforwardly:

Gun Slinger

Have you noticed how the sinful are always depicted with a few days' stubble, whereas the righteous have chins like a baby's bottom? Maybe the way to heaven is a close shave...

I think good dental hygiene is also important.

Purely from the craft perspective, Chick tracts are pretty good, especially considering that they're given away for free.

They are given away for free by the organizations that BUY them for distribution. Subtle difference...

Very interesting...I took another look at "Somebody Loves Me", which is the first tract I ever remember reading. At the time, I thought, "That little kid is bleeding and dying in an alley, and all that Christian kid does is give him LITERATURE?"

Now I see that they've changed the artwork some, replacing the Christian boy with a girl, and adding a balloon (as an obvious afterthought) saying "I'll go get help!"

Reminds me of the revision of Star Wars where Greedo shoots first so Han won't be a cold-blooded murderer...
