Also, my friend was raving about some candy bar (turkish something or other) that canadians hate and americans love- it's like chocolate covered red licorice or something. If I could get one of those, I'd be mighty appreciative.

That'd be yer Big Turk. I've got one in the fridge as I type. I'll pick up some tomorrow, that way at least one should survive the 3 day drive.
ETA: Just checked my dresser and found 3 different loonies for you. 1995 Peacekeeping, no loon on it but it's still a loonie. 2005 standard loonie and 2006 which has the loon in flight with the Olympic Rings and Canadian Olympic symbol on it.
