I'll write an article about Hinn. Please allow me to repeat a story. When I was in high school I signed on to help "pattern" this young adult down the street. If you read Quackwatch you will know that this "patterning" turned out to be woo but three young women and I would spend qualitty time with an unfortunate fellow and I'm certain having young women move the immobile fellow's limbs twice a day didn't take away from the quality of his life. This is 1977 and the mom always had on a religious UFH station. Benny Hinn happened to be on. This SOB touched people and healed them. The young damaged guys mom believed in Benny Hinn. I didn't. I saw at 14 years old he was a fraud. I didn't feel comfortable explaining to an adult my beliefs she was believing in a fraud, but should have.

I got a job at 16 and stopped the volunteer patterning - leaving it to the next generation. I got a call out of the blue one Saturday morning and the mom asked me to help pack her son up in an ambulance because her help bailed and I knew the delicacies of having to move this guy. I knew from the previous year what was going to happen. Hinn keeps the real injured people in a back room until the cameras stop rolling. He says a quick prayer over the real injured before going home and says "thanks for coming" as he walks away and she pay hundreds for the ambulance and donations she can't afford.

I was an angry 16 year old about this. I did what the mom asked because that's what I did, I did what kind adults asked.

However, I had a fantasy about breaking Hinn's nose. His nose blead ruined that fine white suit as I recollect.

I now know violence isn't the answer and if I had a chance I wouldn't hit the creep :rolleyes:

Hehehehe! "Rooting". What a funny word. Don't you guys have a thing over there called "root" beer too? If you as for a root beer here in Australia, the bartender gives you a Fosters and says "good luck!". ;)

I just reread what I wrote in this thread and I have more to add. An equal villian in this story is the ass that said patterning has some beneficial use. The amount of time and effort to help a person in a manner that didn't work was amazing. It caused a divorce in this family. I never saw his dad or his sister yet I spent 6 hours a week in their home.

It's not my family and I should let it go but Hinn is such a scoudrel I really believe I should seek him out and break his nose. Writing this makes it more likely I'll get caught. I won't do it. Breaking someone's nose isn't the answer.

Yet, it would be a broken nose for justice :rolleyes:

If his nose gets broke by a walk by nose breaker it wasn't me.

If you'd care to write your story up in a little more detail, I might use it asone of the first articles on StopBennyHinn.com...

And, if someone breks Hinn's nose, you and I were together elsewhere having lunch at the time!

I care to. I originally volunteered because a young woman I had my eye on my freshman year in parochial school volunteered. Subsequently I discovered that the person in need of help, Jimmy, was a second cousin of a close friend of mine (he still is a close friend). I've been to Jimmy's, his mom's and Jimmy's uncle who gave us a ride home after the patterning, wakes.

The back story is Jimmy became paralized because of a botched routine operation. Jimmy's mom ruined her family with her obsession with the woo patterning and giving the money from the lawsuit to that piece of crap Hinn.

There was a time I gave semi-serious thought to seeking Hinn out and telling him to pay this woman's money back or I'll break his nose. I theoretically considered having a simple assault on my record against the justice of knowing a representative of a family he ruined gave him a gesture of payback. He had bodyguards and in the pre-internet era it was hard to stalk. I let it go. I'm no longer passionate enough to hit him (unless he crosses my path unexpectedly, so I'm not turning down your offer).

I would love to write the story in detail for your new site.

That would be great! I think you should leave out any references to shnozz-smashing urges, though. I wouldn't want the site thought to be encouraging or condoning violence.
