• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

I'll get to it!!

All:

Know that I am pleased and proud that so many folks are anxious to see new articles appearing on the Stop Sylvia Browne site. But understand this: absolutely NOBODY is more anxious for this to happen than I am. NOBODY.

emails, PMs and posts urging me to write new articles do nothing but make me feel even worse about the situation. they will not make those articles go up one minute sooner.

So please continue to bear with me. My health continues to slowly improve, and some of the technical issues should soon be resolved.

Hang in there.

Please.

I'm just glad to see you back on your feet, more or less. Posts on a website don't matter, really.

Of course, I can't speak for all of us on this forum. Nevertheless, I feel that it's safe to say that we're all rooting for you.

(Except the Australians, who all just giggled a little bit)

Big hug from me to you.

I'm sorry I asked you about the site.

Absolutely, take your time. Take all the time in the world.

Well, my life is fine. You are my life. And yes, you are first. then my health. then my web sites.

This is from another thread, but I think it is more relevant here. I do not agree with it. I think it should be

1. Look after yourself first (including your health)
2. Look after your spouse (including their health)
3. Look after any other dependents (including close friends, pets, children)
4. The web sites.

This applies to both Robert and Susan equally. The reason is that if you do not look after yourself first then you may not be able to look after your spouse.

This issue may have been raised before, while Robert was in hospital.

Glad RSLancastr's health is improving.

It's worth noting that, although the last new article on the site was in July 2008, Stopsylvia.com still comes up second in the Google list of hits when I do a search for "Sylvia Browne". That's an indication of how good the site is.

NO REST FOR THE WICKED!

THE BEATINGS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL MORALE IMPROVES!

Robert, we know whatever you do will be worth waiting for. Just stay off the roller skates for a bit longer, eh?

While of course I would be delighted to see new articles for various reasons (not the least of which it would imply that your recovery had made significant progress) the simple fact is that the site as it stands now is a devastating blow to Sylvia Browne. Stopsylvia proves beyond any doubt that Sylvia Browne is a fraud and a liar.

Yes, new articles are always received with eager anticipation. But, to my mind, no one familiar with your site, and with even a soupcon of a reason, can come to any conclusion but that Sylvia Browne is a abhorrent con artist, preying on the most vulnerable.

Take care of yourself first, Robert. You deserve it.

I think that while new articles would be nice, the first thing you should do when you get around to it, is update the article about Browne's presidential election predictions. It should be fairly easy to do, and it is in need of an update. We now know Barack Obama has in fact won.

Here's hoping that the technical difficulties may soon be resolved! :) That would be great. And to continued progress with that left hand of yours - what great news that is.

You're right and this is logical, but these kinds of things aren't always logical. Sometimes it's the people we love who give us incentive to keep going when the going becomes tough. Often we place our concern for their well-being ahead of our own. We cherish them, they cherish us, and this gives us the incentive we need to do what we need to, however difficult, to move forward.

Hey RSL, when you gonna post on ur site again?

:D

When I started the thread, I said to Susan "it will be about five minutes before someone posts "that's all well and good, but when will there be new articles up?"

Thanks for proving me wrong by several hours. :)

I understand, but, agree with it or not, my Susan is always foremost in my mind. This was true even before the stroke, and now even more so.

And I was just about to start pestering you to convert the site to a book!

:)

One possible shortcut, for your first article, would be a collection of your recent JREF threads and posts. Show them as a "Journal" or "Archive" of what you've been going through, since your last article. If that sounds too selfish, you can focus on your reactions you've posted to some of your letters.

But, don't worry too much about it. We understand that good things take time to prepare.

Wowbagger, the first article is already written, and was posted here as the thread "StopSylvia.com - What Happened?", an explanation of why the site has been stagnant. I have considered putting some of my other stroke-related posts here into articles for the site. Most would not be appropriate, but others - we'll see. I don't want to come across as though I am fishing for sympathy, but we'll see.

I don't think any of it was meant to be pressure, just a way of showing everyone thinks your work is important! :)
