Of course Intelligent Design is theism. If you say something is designed then you must have a designer. Just because they refuse to give their "Designer" any characteristics at all doesn't make it any less a supernatural being. If you try to pin a Christian down on the exact characteristics of their God, they will reach a point where they will stonewall or start changing definitions. ID-ers simply reach that point earlier.
And Intelligent Design definitely isn't science. It is true that some people who believe in Intelligent Design are doing science and are making legitimate and sometimes correct critiques of evolution. But that is simply evolutionary science and has nothing to do with design. Design is what they throw in after they've done the science as an alternate explanation, and it contains absolutely no scientific, testable propositions for showing the existence of a designer. In the end, it comes down to, "I can't think of any other way...". Sorry Behe, but that ain't science.
