How, exactly, is the Trump administration racist?

Angels and Ministers of Grace defend us! Did you actually READ the OP... at all...... just a little bit!?

Here let me help you

https://www.ptleader.com/stories/pt-priest-ordered-to-leave-country,66497?

(you get four free articles before you have to pay)

Sometimes, I just despair at the level of...... oh, never mind!

As do I, so spare me your drama and insults.

Ya I read the OP, what little content it contains.

What exactly is paywalled, there's no link? Why would I think I'd be able to see the story even if I knew where it was? Is it the only version on the internet?

I'm not going to go out of my way to do my own research when the OP can't bother (no offense Treb). I don't often agree with people here so there's little reason for me to do that. Sometimes I do anyways.

I mean gee, another "ICE is bad" thread at ISF. How tedious. Let me get right on that!

I know a lot of people here hate ICE and I know gawdamned well that people will respond without reading the article, wherever it may be, because ICE = bad and yada yada.

I will admit that I really don't care much about this forum anymore and I'm sure my attitude shows it these days.

Insults?

Ya I read the OP, what little content it contains.

Then you will have seen that Trebuchet said he didn't post a link because it was paywalled, right? Which makes me wonder why you posted this....

What exactly is paywalled?

It means you would not be able to read any linked article without paying for a subscription.

there's no link?

Yeah, I think Trebuchet already said that, in the OP you read :p

I don't know. Is it?

Your choice. Don't blame everyone else for your choice

Well, if you didn't care, why did you even bother to reply?

Was it just so you could have a whinge?

I will admit that I really don't care much about this forum anymore and I'm sure my attitude shows it these days.

Yes, it does.

If you don't like it here, no-one is keeping you!

^^^^ that.

Here you go, two hundred examples. Not that you'd dare to actually read them...

I'm not taking a position on whether Trump is racist or not, but most of those "examples" were pretty tenuous and not proof of racism, and the website is obviously pushing an agenda of its own so is hardly an objective source.

I'm just amused that this somehow gets translated as "Ice to Catholics: Go to Hell." I assume it's intended as a clever play on the old "Ford to City: Drop Dead," headline that appeared in the NY Post many years ago.

You got that? ^

Miller has been Trump's adviser from the start, and there is no indication that they aren't 100% in agreement - unlike everyone else, Trump has never publicly criticized Miller.
And there is no question that Miller is a White Nationalist.

But you suggested that people were making a case that there was no evidence (or not enough) that Trump was racist and wrote, sarcastically I assume, that he "can't be called a Racist unless he is walking around publicly in Klan-robes, we understand".

Now you link to a post, in this very thread, that would indicate that you do feel that there is sufficient evidence in this thread to make the case that Trump is, in fact, a racist.

I hope you can understand why I'm confused? Your post looked like it was calling out Cullennz for something he never said.

By the way who are "we"?

"USCIS may grant R-1 status for an initial period of admission for up to 30 months. Subsequent extensions may be granted for up to an additional 30 months. The religious worker’s total period of stay in the United States in R-1 classification cannot exceed five years (60 months)."

If he's been here since 2014 on an R-1 visa, that's 5 years. He's not eligible for an R-1 visa extension. He may be trying to get a permanent visa, and there is one for religious workers:

I have no idea what the standard time line for visa applications of this sort are, so I have no way of knowing whether this is a typical delay or out of the ordinary.
Well, I think its best to assume that it would be easy if he weren't black.

Why would it be best to assume that?

That seems to be what everyone does. I was being sarcastic.

We probably don't have to assume, if not the majority then at least the plurality of Catholic priests and nuns in the US are foreign born, I bet the church could tell us or even INS could tell us.

Edit, I was wrong, a large minority are foreign born but not even a plurality.

Edit, like many political threads, this is dumb.
I shall paraphrase.
OP, here's an anecdote about a priest having trouble with immigration, it must be because ICE is racist because the priest is black.
A chorus of aggreement.
A few folks asking, so how do we know?
Answer, because trump is a racist and ICE is bad.

Why not look for actual evidence instead of assertion and anecdote. Meh, why, this isn't a forum of skeptics or anything.

Far out

If you want to show a point, that site is the worst way to do it.

It does seem to largely be a list of times that Trump and his administration has said things about immigration being bad.
