That's why I'm banned from just about every MA forum on the internet. Evidently, challenging someone's deluded beliefs is "disrespecting" them...

It seems to me the reason is because the moderators share those whacko beleifs, such as the existence of gods, the existence of chi, paranormal powers, etc.
 
I think moderators should be at least fence sitters perhaps? Dont know about mods on here...or maybe just sensible would do it?
The SNW isnt the worst forum Ive been on but it's close,a one rule for one and one rule for everyone else seems to apply in most cases;although thats always denied despite evidence to the contrary.
 
Evidence John? What evidence do you offer? Are you referring to Simon Peters and your disguise at one of his shows? Or the fact you didn't go, because at the time of that demonstration you were active on my board posting like a mad man.

Such a shame you fill the air with hot air then have your lies rumbled.

Anyway John, keep going, the extra members are most welcome.

Moderators can have any opinion they will. They just need to be mature enough to be able to distinguish between a diiference in opinion and a breach of rules/ettiquette. Surely, that should not be too much to ask?

Another ting is that some posters, after having been admonished for a clear breach of rules, will neverthless cry foul and claim they were unjustly censored. We see that often enough here, too.

Well if anyone cares to look at my forum they will see that skeptics are far from censored, infact many of my posts encourage it.

Azrael's problem is one of anger management. No matter how hard one tries to explain to him the difference between being a skeptic of varying degrees and an out and out rude man he seems to miss the point entirely.

Apparently moderators on my site are not allowed an opinion, problem for John is they are. We have never had a problem with skeptics on my site as far as their posts are concerned. His ban was due to his private harrassment of mods and at times me. He was given a second chance yet through it back in my face.

I was constantly emailing him to get him to avoid insulting people and keeping to the topic in hand, something he had a great problem with. He has a problem with views that fly in the face of his, but not a problem in the usual sense - skeptic v believer - this man has a serious issue that has very little to do with beliefs and opinions.

Excuse the quotes, but even the hardest of skeptics should have a problem with the likes of this. Maybe now a few of you will see why he was banned. Even he doesn't grasp the fact that his critical eye was not a problem, but these and many more like them were.

Just to add, I have welcomed a few of you over at SNW, skeptics in every sense of the word, and I welcome fully their views and opinions. ;)

You are a bad guy John, when skeptics on my site are disgusted at your behaviour I don't need to carry on justifying your expulsion. I told you to stop emailing and you chose to ignore it, I returned them back to their author, simple as that.

This is my last word on the matter...it's tedious in the extreme.

phenomenon bans me from his site for being "nasty" to his moderators and for posting a dumb ghost pic on here.I made derogatory comments about 3 female mods who(if and when he opens his site up again)anyone can read are delusional nasty people.If this make sme a criminal so be it.But people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones.phenomenon has done exactly the same to Echolima.

You don't have to be overly polite, I'm sure the believers will jump on your case but that goes with the territory.

I just feel that most of the skeptics on here that I have seen are strong in their opinions but also hold a modicum of respect for those they speak to.

I joinned your forum as well. I'm not as polite as Hans, and quite a bit dumber, but I'll give it a go anyways. It may take me a while to post, there are just too many forums and it'll take me some browsing to find some topics I'm interested in. Just one question: you have a "Skeptic's Corner." Does that mean that skeptics or uncomfortable questions regarding evidence or logic are to be are limited to that forum?
