Yes, I'm aware of that ...Originally posted by athon
I'm planning on being in California before TAMIII, so if all lights are still green for the event for me next year, I'll put in for a lift as well.
Of course, California's a big place, and I'm not sure exactly where I'll be, so...
Well, since exarch dragged me in here...exarch said:Yes, I'm aware of that ...
Still, from California a car is a conceivable means of getting to TAM. Not sure how long a drive that would be though, but it's possible. Also, I'll need to get a ride back to LA to catch a flight after TAM ...
So Stu, are you up for a drive to Las Vegas with an Aussie and a Belgian? And where are all the (skep)chicks whenever you plan a road trip? Didn't Renata drive to TAM this year? Wyvern?![]()

Hmmm... I think a flight to Vegas might not be quite that cheap. How much would it be to rent a car? It was like 50$ a day in Vegas I think, for the cheapest crappiest car they had. Might not be the best alternativeIf push comes to shove, it's pretty easy to get flights from LA to Vegas. Or you guys could rent a car to drive there and back.

But cheaper than the alternative when you have a little oopsie ...Originally posted by Hutch
...but insurance is extra and not cheap.
Same here I'm afraid. Won't know for sure until a month or two has passed ...Originally posted by kittynh
I'm coming, I'm just poor right now....
So how many people are bringing significant others and such that aren't attending the meeting? What are they occupying themselves with? And would they perhaps put up with a kid?Kitten2 is trying to talk us into letting her come. Considering that she might not enjoy all the speakers, and would rather ride the cool rides and look around, I'm not sure we are going to spring for her. Still, she's whining enough about it we may have to give in....

Me, too...
*snip*
I must admit that my main reasons for coming are first of all the chance of seeing a bit of the US in the week prior to the meeting, and meeting all the nice folks from the board. The speakers are just frosting on the cake really, and I'd probably go to TAM even if they didn't have any speakers at all.
