Herman Cain for President?

The last few elections have taught me that when a politician claims constitutional expertise and/or waves the constitution with great fervor, it's a reliable indicator that said politician is a raving ignoramus.

It's almost identical to bible thumping.

I posted this earlier in this thread, but I can't resist another opportunity.
He waves it in our faces like it is a bible, then promptly demonstrates how little consideration he actually gives it.

Even worse, he waves it in our faces, then quotes from a different document. It's like a bible thumper who is fecklessly unaware that the thing in his hand he's thumping is actually The Talmud.

Saw this article about Cain and his comment during the CNN debate about adopting the Chile retirement program for America.

"Social Security Reform Gets Pinochet'd"

A nationalist who threatens other countries with military force, a corporatist who puts profit ahead of workers' rights.

Fascist.

"The reason I made the statement that I would not put a Muslim in my cabinet, or in my administration, is because I want people that are dedicated to the Constitution. … I don't know one Muslim who will denounce Sharia Law and then say that they can support the Constitution."

Good find, thanks.

I can see the smear based on alignment with Pinochet, but that's dodging the question of the merits of the plan, within it's scope of activity.

But the smear fails....for the simple reason it is as if we would criticize a plan to liberalize China's economy, move segments of it to the private sector, because it's a Communist government?

hahahhaha....no, that no worky....

More on what actually happened here...

Nice way to shoot yourself in the foot, mhaze. There are too many wild swings in that orange line, indicating boomms and busts. Only after they got rid of that murderous thug Pinochet did they have anything resembling a stable ecconomy.

That it had to be forced on people at the point of a bayonet also disqualifies it as a model for a civilized nation to follow.

The extermination of a big part of the population and cowing the rest into submssion invalidates the results as something that a civilized society would even attempt.

Anyway, getting back to the topic - remember that? - Herman Cain would not make a good president. I think that's clear.

Cain's whole philosophy of governance appears to be that if we let the rich prosper, they will make life better for the rest of us.

Such right now is not the case. Only the rich are actually prospering and they are even screwing each other.

His remarks about wanting no bill more than three pages long shows him to be a simpleton.

His remarks about not trusting Muslims specificly show that he has a rotten attitude toward people of different beliefs than his own.

His demeanor is abrasive. He always seems angry. When challenged, he looks as though he had just been insulted by a burger-flipper in a fast food joint.

I so want to see that nasty twit get the GOP nomination.

But I thought that black conservatives "don't play the race card"?

It's the highest the bloody drongo has in hand.

Per the pizza pusher, Obama isn't a real black man.

I bet it would break his anthractic heart to learn wit which of the two most black people would be able to identify.

Yes, I'm sure he'll be crippled once he realizes he doesn't have the same name recognition as the goddamned President of the United *********** States.

Eyerolling smiley is nowhere near enough.
