I wasn't sure whether our friend here was sincerely confused or a genuine troll until this post. Even the staunchest of Biblical literalists know that Song of Solomon is poetry; the characters are archetypes and their actions did not actually occur, so indeed it is "NOT TRUE!"

As for the others, I could sit here and write out how and to what degree each book of the bible is "NOT TRUE!", but frankly I doubt your sincerity and therefore won't waste time and energy on such a futile task.

Pointless too. The Gospels the the same story 4 times so if one is "NOT TRUE!", the are all "NOT TRUE!"

Also, Revelations is about the future so it can't be true in principle. At least not yet.

1) God is all-benevolent. In other words, He is all good, and he cares about us, specifically, and the world, in general.

2) God is all powerful

3) God is all present

4) God is all knowing

5) Evil exists.



You see, number 5 in the problem; The Problem of Evil.

IF God is all knowing, then he knows about evil. IF God is all present, then He is there when evil occurs. IF God is all powerful, then he has the ability to stop evil. IF god is all benevolent, then he has impetus to stop evil.

Whence, then, comes evil?

You are evading my concern. I did not say that the Christian God is a person. I am saying that, according to your holy book, God displays many human characteristics. Why is that? Why is the God you describe as being perfect, all-knowing, all-loving, all-seeing, all-powerful, etc., etc. so prone to fits of rage, violence, hatred, wrath, pettiness, and an almost childlike obsession with our belief in him (in a very specific way)?

Please tell me why this is. I would really prefer that you not use the old "God is mysterious" escape hatch, but actually attempt to explain this to me in a logical and coherent way. Please don't go on about vibrations and webs and dreams unless you have something of substance to support those suppositions.
