It looks like the consequences are starting to catch up to the Trump legal team. Some civil cases, and now Guiliani can't act as a lawyer anymore, at least in NY. Deadrose brought this to my attention on Discord, and I have to say it makes me happy.

A New York court has suspended the law license of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, citing in part his work as counsel to former President Donald Trump.

The Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court said Thursday it was "immediately suspending" Giuliani's license -- although it is an interim suspension, so he will have an opportunity for reinstatement.

I hope he collected all of his cash from Trump in advance.

This is the problem with old farts being in charge and doing all the damage. By the time society gets around to one of the rare times it actually catches one of them and doesn't let them weasel their way out of any consequences they are all in their late 70s minimum and all we can do is throw them in jail for their adult diaper and senility years.

Deadrose, Faydra and I were talking, I wonder how much this would effect an investigation into Guiliani moving forward.

Obviously they can't strip lawyer\client privilege from previous cases, but what about the "work" he's doing moving forward. Does that mean if he were to get raided again they can gather evidence about anything from now on?

I'll agree with you on the overall sentiment; however, on the surface (key words) it appears Rudy was on the up-and-up throughout his earlier years. He worked with the SDNY, then the mayor, and nothing has really come out about illegal activity during that time. It sounds like he didn't start being as shady as he is until the last 10ish years.

I wouldn't count on Sydney Powell, who has done exactly what Giuliani was suspended for, being suspended as her law license is from Texas.

On the other hand, Lin Wood is being investigated by the Georgia State Bar:
The Georgia state bar in May launched an investigation into Wood after he allegedly attacked two of his former colleagues, as well as embraced conspiracy theories and called for the execution of the former U.S. vice president.

As part of its investigation, the bar wants Wood to undergo a mental health examination, something the conservative attorney has argued violates his First Amendment rights. The state bar said Wood would not lose his law license if he failed to be evaluated, but he could lose it at the end of the disciplinary investigation.

Meanwhile, if you're a 20 year old black man caught with an ounce of pot, by the time you get out you'll be in your 70s.

Statement from Giuliani's legal team

"We believe that once the issues are fully explored at a hearing Mr. Giuliani will be reinstated as a valued member of the legal profession that he has served so well in his many capacities for so many years."

I would bet that's probably not going to happen the way the think it will. I have no idea what is required or what goes into revoking a law license, but I know that if there was ever someone crazy enough to have theirs revoked, it'd be Rudy.

As disgusting as Rudy is, I'd put Sydney Powell and Lin Wood in the 'more crazy' category.

You'd receive no argument from me, though I think Guiliani has been a bit more combative than Powell towards other people. Powell is dumb as hell, and a grifter. Lin Wood is crazy, violent, and dumb as hell. Guiliani is just derogatory, dumb as hell, and a terrible liar.

Rudi is way worse, as he has made a career working for foreign dictators.
he is an aspirational Manafort.

The reason why Rudi is probably crapping his pants more than usual is that this decision makes the case Dominion has against him airtight: it makes it clear that Rudi lied about Dominion, or at the very least had an obligation to find out the truth before publicly clamming that Dominion committed fraud.
Rudi is cooked, financially, till the end of time.

From what I have read from lawyers the fact that they revoked his license before the hearing implies that there's little to know doubt it should be revoked.

A couple lawyers I follow on twitter expressed shock that his license was revoked before a hearing, as apparently that just about never happens - especially when it's tied up in a political issue. Then they went through the documents and came to agreement that what's in there is bad enough that revoking it now is justified and a hearing is likely just going to be a formality.

Technically it's suspended, not revoked. If he loses at the hearing it will be revoked.

Say all you want about Trump but being able to call people's wives ugly and not pay them for their work and have it so they will still throw themselves on a grenade for you is certainly a useful skill.

Can you elaborate on this, please? What's 'Dominion'?
