GOP Cancel Culture for MoH Awardees.

And for the record, I don't think everything that the Trump administration does is "fascist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, oppressive". You left out "stupid".
Don't forget "petulant". A lot of their output is just blindly lashing out at people who they think have wronged them.

Sigh. . . . Seriously??? FYI, the page honoring Rogers' MoH has been restored. A DoD spokesman explained that, just as I suspected, the page was removed during an automated removal process. When the snafu was discovered, it was corrected.

Sheesh, people get a grip, wipe the foam from your mouths, and stop automatically assuming that everything the Trump administration does is "fascist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, oppressive," etc.
Anything that mentions one of these nasty keywords about equality etc is automatically deleted and if nobody notices and complains then it's probably fine.

Is that a level of incompetence you find acceptable? Is that level of incompetence repeated across everything Musk's chainsaw is clawing its way through? How can anyone know, when the administration won't even give a straight answer to whether Musk is really the person in charge of the department the president keeps saying he runs? To this outsider it looks like 3 stooges level government.

Colin Powell’s name was one of those removed from a list of notable Americans buried at Arlington National Cemetery but has since been restored after protest.

What's stunning is that you actually believe this wasn't a problem.

Why do you think this "automated process" happened in the first place?

Hint: It actually in your last sentence, but you are trying so very hard to not see it.

I just assumed they were stupid and did not care until someone noticed and complained. My original post did not have foam, just facts.

And the "deimedal" thing?

Which, as I now understand it, is a feature, not a bug. In another thread I was reading, not sure which, it was said that Musk's SOP is to remove as much of a functioning system as possible. Then, as they notice things aren't working, they slowly add things back in until it works again leaving out as much as possible because that's considered "waste". I believe that's what he sees as "efficient". Something that runs on as little as possible. Nevermind that he probably removed the guard from a miter saw because it didn't make it run "efficiently" and now people will cut their hands off. That's not the important part, people get hurt and that's fine....but at least they get hurt efficiently!

Just gobbling up whatever is spoon-fed to you without a monument of thought.
That's exactly what you guys did with this absurd thread. Some liberals noticed that Rogers' page had been taken down and implied that this was a deliberate action--and you guys immediately gobbled up this nonsense and ran with it.

Many government websites are being temporarily taken down and then restored as part of the scrub to remove DEI-specific content. I work for the DoD. My department's webpages, which have nothing to do with honoring heroes from previous wars, were paused as part of the scrub and were restored within three or four days. Sound familiar?

Found it on the Wayback Machine.

The first paragraph has this sentence: "As a Black man, he worked for gender and race equality while in the service."

I have to wonder if that's what got his page pinged.
And sure enough, the sentence "As a Black man, he worked for gender and race equality while in the service" has now been removed from the page.

Rogers page was not the only one removed.

DEI seems to conveniently remove minority medal winners and the like. Then they are restored with "DEI" in the address which makes old links to those pages get a 404 error.

How many white Medal of Honor recipient's pages were removed?

Gotta love it. Pentagon says it was a mistake and you are telling us it was done on purpose.

Thing is you don't need to take down a webpage to fix it. Your explanation doesn't pass the sniff test.

Yes, those lies and pathetic rationalizations do sound familiar because of how often they are repeated by credulous rubes.

Why does the Pentagon need to even touch their war hero public information at all? Are they not proud of them? They certainly seemed so when they put them up years ago. Why change them now? Oh that's right. You have a service-dodging bonespur-imagining thin-skinned cowardly liar as President. And he hates blacks and always has. SIR, YES SIR!

Remember how Hegseth questioned the competency of a Black four-star general and Air Force fighter pilot who was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?
Hegseth sacked him and asked did he get the job “because of his skin colour? Or his skill? We’ll never know, but always doubt.”

Hegseth needs a number 12 kick in the balls...by Colin Powell's ghost.
