Good Pick for EPA

The question about dictatorial oppression was directed at you, you failed to mention it in your zeal to promote your hoax.

He said that drought and food insecurity played a role in the Arab Spring, not that they were the only factors.

I even said a big role, and I stand by that. I did not say the biggest role, however, nor did I discount other factors that contributed. The Scientific American article I linked clearly indicates that the Arab Spring would've happened without the drought, but that the drought was a big factor in when it happened.

One would have to approach these conversations honestly to pick up on that, so that's lost on some folks. Trolls gonna troll, I guess.

Lol

You talk about honesty while putting up lib propaganda. Hilarious!

To clarify: do you think only conservative propaganda is honest?

I bet you're intelligent enough to answer that yourself.

Are you admitting his was propaganda?
And I don't think you and I would agree mostly on what is conservative propaganda, some things possibly.

It was always foolish to think we were going to solve climate change by reducing emissions. The Paris agreement was a non-binding joke, and we're already projected to sail through the two degrees of warming everyone has warned against. We might as well get as much out of the ground as possible, and use some of the money to fund a longshot R&D effort, either for carbon sequestration and/or geo-engineering.

I'm '67 yrs. old and I feel you pain and sense of "WTF(resigned)". However, I've been noticing that everybody is looking at the big picture without seeing the real show that going on underneath right in front of everybody's eyes and they just don't see.

Big dreams are accomplished by taking little steps one at a time.

1. Start driving 10% less.

2. If you like to indulge yourself with SUVs, sell it and buy two Limosene Liberal George Clooney Prius's or a couple of Leafs, or whatever, as long as it uses at least 10% less gas and then YOU drive that car 10% less gas. (if, after buying two Prius's you have $ left over...donate it to the cause!!)

3. Walk, don't drive, whenever you can; great exercise, win friends and influence people, new sights, sounds and smells, allows you to take in the real world more completely.

4. Lobby to ban disposable lighters and disposable everything. Yes, Boys and Girls, that also means disposable diapers!!!

5. Buy bulk so as to lessen the amount of bulk plastic wrappers/containers in the landfill.

6. Save every container(Butter, Margarine, Big ziplock freezer bags[turn them inside out, wash them thoroughly and place in plate rack to dry],

7. Buy cloth shopping bags, make sure you get at least two or three uses of that which you consider "disposable". Brown grocery bags ARE NOT disposable. Keep them until you go shopping again. Got used books you want to donate to the library? USE a double bagged grocery bags.

8. Form local community activists groups to spread the word(GET INVOLVED AND STAY INVOLVED)

9. buy these *books for yourselves, your family and all your friends and their children(great friends/family stocking stuffers[MERRY X-MAS!]

10. Use of handheld devices for personal use down to an absolute minimum(let me go through your "personal self-indulgence device budget" and I will cut it and gut it and your life will still go on, even better. USE THEM FOR LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTIVISM TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE(mainly, that is)

11. Add to this list and pass it on and forward

I noticed they are cowards, desperately trying to save themselves from awkward information that challenges, embarrasses, and even negates their superstitions. Bans on teaching evolution, bans on interracial marriage and gay marriage, attempts to censor anything and everything that doesn't agree with their world-view.

They even support banning the teaching of critical thinking skills.

Of all the denier arguments, the "I look forward to it being a bit warmer where I live" is possibly one of the most stupid. It demonstrates an utter failure to think further than the lenght of one's nose.

It sums up the attitude of most conservatives.

The term "propaganda" is broad enough to include anything intended to influence public opinion, including facts. The word you need to look up is "fact."

The problem for them is that they're not immune. Food shortages will affect everyone.

How do you know there will be food shortages? How do you know technological developments in food production won't match decreases in arable land? The Earth has warmed significantly since the industrial revolution, it doesn't seem to have put a dent in food production. Quite the opposite.

In any case, America will just export less, food costs are a small part of my budget, and the time frame on global warming is such that I'll long be in the ground before it has any real affect on me.

And if you think the refugee crisis in Europe is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet.

I don't live in Europe.

No but your constant avoidance of answering our attempts to get proper definitions of the terms you use certainly don't reflect well on you.

That you constantly need definitions of SIMPLE terms certainly doesn't reflect well on you. ;)
