Global warming affecting bottom line...!

Diamond:
This is actually a very old argument. In 1865 Stanley Jevons, one of Europe's most esteemed scientists predicted in a book that the Industrial Revolution's ever increasing use of coal would cause the exhaustion of England's coal reserves and industry would grind to a halt.

In the same vein, the Club of Rome's "Limits to Growth" predicted the exhaustion of oil reseves by 2003. Needless to say, the death of Western Civilisation was exaggerated.
Old argument or not, the bottom line is that the size of reserves is uncertain. One thing which is very certain, however, is that they are finite. And not finite in a geological time sense, but in a "few generations" sense.
...won't go much further since wind power is expensive, a blight on the landscape, unreliable and of not sufficient power to supply Denmark in the 21st Century.
The expense compared to traditional means is constantly falling. From what I've read, the expense will be on par with oil/coal in about 10 years. Besides which, the objective expense of a particular fuel source isn't very objective.
It has been persuasively argued that wind power is an artifact of large government subsidies and I believe the Danish government has made moves to cut the subsidies, especially since other forms of power are more reliable and the costs are much lower.
Just to be clear, the subsidies in Denmark are not subsidies to windmill manufacturers. They are subsidies to windmill owners in the form of a guranteed higher price than the market. And these subsidies have recently been greatly reduced.
Its much more likely that Denmark will start on a domestic nuclear power program - after all nuclear power is climate friendly...
No, it isn't more likely. Even though I wish it was. However, I'm in a very small minority.
