Haven't seen evidence of it being a hoax yet.
Although I wouldn't mind if it was. Not dead would be better, but sadly so far it looks like it is genuine

I never liked Wham....but really liked his "Faith" lp/CD when it came out. His last few years have been a train wreck of sorts...sad.

Pretty sure this is sad news because it's a hoax.

Singer George Michael has died aged 53, his publicist has said.
The star, who launched his career with Wham! in the 1980s and later continued his success as a solo performer, is said to have "passed away peacefully at home".
Thames Valley Police said South Central Ambulance Service attended a property in Goring in Oxfordshire at 13:42 GMT.
Police say there were no suspicious circumstances.

It does now. 10 minutes or so ago it said hoax. I was wrong.
