Merged Freemen and False Moral Equivalence

I guess I provoked some sort of existential crisis. Seemed like a valid question, but I think I may have scared Superskeptic away. Sorry! :runaway
According to his user profile Superskeptic hasn't visited the forum since he made his last post, so he has yet to read your question.

Not necessarily: I think you can see threads in this part of the forum without logging in.

It's standard operating procedure for the Fezzed One and/or a minion to show up on a forum and, using a phony user name, ask a series of loaded questions.

...that they then shoot themselves in the foot with.

The purpose of the visit was to re-affirm superskeptic's sense of self worth.

Like a freeman claiming he won the day at his sentencing by asking the judge for his oath our visitor came to ask us why we tremble at the thought of his freeeeeedom!

Basically, "freeman" in this context is just another word for freeloader / conman.
incompetent wanabe freeloaders usually
The part they never get is that, by removing themselves from the system, they also lose all protections the system grants. It's as if they want to have the status of a child, or a dog. OK, you aren't subject to contract law... but now there's no reason not to take all your stuff and lock you in a kennel for my amusement.

Status comes with both privileges and obligations. They want the one without the other.

I don't disagree with that, but the bit that gets me is that they think there is some vast conspiracy to keep them unaware of their rights, but that if they say the right magic words, these people who are quite happy to conspire against them will suddenly give up, instead of getting rid of them* as an inconvenient source of evidence.

* :tinfoil: Maybe that is why you don't hear of any successful FOTLs - their successes are hushed up by The Man.

They're not hushed up so much as made into fake news. The Freeman knows he won because he asked the judge for his oath, and then accepted for value the fine. But then the Fake News prints that he was "convicted on all counts" and was "sentenced to jail". So Sad!

As we speak freemenary is having a hissy fit over this report http://tsas.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/2017-02-Perry.compressed-1.pdf, which cuts through freemanary's nonsensical assumption like the one jimbob points out in a quote.

Consistent with the subculture's belief it is the subject of a vast conspiracy freemen are whining they are being falsely branded as "anti-authoritarians". They say they are really battling for equality and equity. This dog whistle to the freeman faithful is blown whenever they are held accountable for their misdeeds or are told they can't act with the authority reserved for governments.

Somehow freemen have gotten the idea that they can, with the stroke of a pen, make themselves judges, lawyers, bankers and peace officers. To freemen and their gurus "equality" and "equity" means they can move right into the halls of power skipping elections, university educations, law school, police officer training and banking degrees while everybody else toils away building the skills and credentials required to be entrusted with real authority.

It seems freemen want to be a little more equal than the rest of us.

The truth is no society would allow the average freeman to be a school crossing guard. After all freemanary's last guru standing's claim to fame is that he cheated a restaurant out of a meal and fled the jurisdiction of a Toronto court arraigning him for impersonating a peace office.
